Corn starch (25 g / 2 tbsp).
1:50 1 egg.

Try rolling the oranges before cutting and squeezing , you will get more juice

Basically make orange curd (or lemon, or lime, or grapefruit) then mix with whipped cream. No possible iteration of this takes 5 minutes. Youve got to let the curd cool completely. That takes a few hours.

I use it as custard for cakes. When whipping the cream, I add cream cheese or mascarpone (half the quantity of the heavy cream), and half sachet of pudding powder, so it will keep its shape for even a week. For a stronger aroma, sometimes a also add the zest of one orange. What's new for me, is sieving the custard, I've never thought of, in spite of doing it with the flan (creme caramel).

I think pudding powder is really mostly cornstarch. Maybe it depends what country you buy it in. Just mentioning that because maybe others are like me - I always have cornstarch but rarely pudding powder. I think people in the UK or Australia always keep Bird's Custard around, though.
