I lived in a massive Bangladeshi community & no one in the world cooks fish like those beautiful people. Never in my life did I ever think I would eat fresh water fish, but when I did, it was like using my taste buds for the first time. I have never visited the country - but the people in East London from Bangladeshi restaurants to the Aunty's in the block of flats I lived in & their neighbours & their neighbours, I fell in love with their food made with love, care and flavour - the taste stays with me to this day.

Have you eaten hilsha? I would take hilsha before salmon anyday. And people think salmon is the most tastiest fish.
@idavo4 жыл бұрын
@@naimsharifakash9989 yes I have, beautiful fish, not sure if Trout is under that umbrella, but it is one of my favourite fish. Better than salmon, a fish with also natural oils that lends itself to however it is cooked. Really pleased you asked me - I have been trying to find a good Bangladeshi / Bengali restaurant in the town I intend to move to. My very first Bangladeshi fish I ever ate was tandoori Perch. It was char grilled slippery delights - difficult to find here in North West England, but I seek & I try to make myself. Though never as well.

Pole-tay-toel-ee. I can really appreciate how Rafsan is actually focused on being present with Sonny, rather than seeming hyper-focused on being present in the spotlight or catering too much to Sonny's film crew and camera lens. I could see many who aspire to make a living off KZbin do the opposite, where they're just trying to take advantage of this generous opportunity--think your average try-hard Instagram "entrepreneur" or "influencer". Rafsan has true genuine energy and concern towards the shared affinity towards food, and more importantly, awareness of culture and place. It's also refreshing to have someone in/below my generation use phrases or gestures that many younger people nowadays could relate to. That sort of energy helps convey a hard-to-describe translation of moments. It's even more fun to see Sonny puzzled by some of these references. Looking forward to the rest of this series!

@@ravidhyani3074 no true. At one point both Pakistan and bangladesh was part of india. Therefore, people used to know bangladeshi food as indian. When everything split it was too hard to re-establish such well known food (despite if its pakistani, bangladeshi or indian in origin). That is the reason why the whole indian thing stuck despite the food being made by bangladeshi or Pakistani people.
