Vietnam has the best cuisine in the world. The amount of fresh veggies and herbs in every meal is just insane. Look I love meat, but the combination of spices, meat, and veggies is just amazing. Plus Pho is food of the Gods. I love this Country.

Actually there are French influences in Vietnamese food. The Banh Mi sandwich is a baguette filled with Vietnamese ingredients . The Banh Xeo is basically a savoury crepé.

Finally, another food review show from Vietnam that I have been waiting for so long from Sonny, almost 1 year now? I am still waiting for Sonny to kick it up a notch with him riding a scooter/motorcycle around VN. The quirkiest discoveries that he could find in VN, that have not already discovered, to spice up his content. I am kind of biased toward Saigon, thus not watching Sonny's videos much during the past year when he's no longer in VN. Now he's back in Vietnam, I'd like for him to learn cooking at least 1 VNese traditional dish and let his American friends judge it. Vietnamese friends may be too polite to give out their honest opinions of his culinary skills.

Talk about Vietnam noodles, you should go to Hai Phong. A hidden gem, not exposed by tourists, which has many unique noodles that you cant find anywhere. And unique broth too. Only 100 km away from Hanoi, but it's so different from Hanoi.

The most popular noodles of Hai Phong called Banh Da Cua, which is Crab Noodles. And in the North Vietnam, Banh Da Cua is something at the same level of Pho. But you shouldn't mistake it. It's not Sea Crab Noodles, but Freshwater Crab Noodles. The noodles have chewy texture, the most chewy in Vietnam i might say, and it goes well with crab broth. And they put in water spinach and fried onion, fish cake and pork cake. There are also many kinds of Bun (vermically) which has the aromas you can't find in Hanoi. Built by the French to be the biggest habor of Vietnam and the relaxation spot for Hanoi, Hai Phong has developed its own cultures and foods. You can find there any kind of Vietnamese foods, but different styles and adaptations. The prices are also much cheaper than Hanoi, because it's not tourist spot.

FYI, Bun Mam is actually two different noodle dishes shared by the same name. The noodle dish you saw in this video is the Bun Mam from the southern region. There is another noodle dish by the same name in central region.

There's this amazing standard food, there's amazing new stuff, we are weeping when we see the prices, everything is novel and fresh, and you have a good tour company, I'd WORK IT! Also, I really do wince every time an American says "Saigon". Crek me if I'm wrong, but that's Ho Chi Minh city, and it seems more than rude to say otherwise and I know it's not an accident. People in St. Petersburg don't keep calling it "Leningrad", the million videos of NYC in America are never marred by someone calling it "New Amsterdam"! It just need time, the same thing happen when French decided to use the name "Sai Gon" instead of the name "Gia Định", Vietnamese people need time to forget something they used to use, same thing happen for Hanoi when It changed from Thăng Long to Hà Nội in 1831. It's not a big deal
