“When I’m old and cool like you, I’m gonna eat a lot of butts” 😂 I think this is one of the most profound episodes on this show. There’s a certain appreciation of their lifestyle, but their hardship isn’t negated in the process. White people reading this: what Sonny does is way better than White philanthropists coming in to third world nations to ‘help’ the people. This is respectful and authentic, helps local economy without compromising their autonomy, and generally raises awareness. Thanks for your show, Sonny :)

Sonny, my dear sweet, funny and all around respectful man, thank you for doing such an amazing job with highlighting the world’s culture. For those of us who will never get an opportunity like you to visit these far off and unique places with the most amazing, kind and humble people, I applaud you. Your humor, kindness and beautiful personality makes you in my opinion, the best food vlogger out there. My hope is that a good food channel will give you your own show to carry on where Anthony Bourdain can’t.

What is really good about this... Is the 'off the cuff', casual conversation. "Everyone seems really happy around here, I dunno." That very casual tone is quite good. And don't think I've missed the semi-second long cuts of the host's face expressing various things. There's been 2 or so that I've seen in the last two episodes. Either way, something magical is happening here. Mar 10th, 2019? Right on, man, keep it up.
