I only became a fan of SHINee way later, when they released Don't Call Me, but I can definitely see why they became popular with their early songs. I would of been a fan back then too if I knew about them.

To give you some context for each song and why these three are iconic and famous: 1) "Replay" is indeed their 2008 debut song. It is known within the industry as the best debut song of any Kpop group. It is almost a requirement for rookie groups to cover this song. In addition, this song ushered in the "Rookie Grand Slam" award so named because SHINee won every Rookie group award (I think it's five in total) in 2008. This feat would not be done again until 2015. 2) "Ring, Ding, Dong" was, by the SHINee brothers recollection, a ridiculous song...lol. However, it became so addictive when it debuted in 2009, that it was called an "ear-worm" and was banned in schools during SAT testing season. This would not be SHINee's only banned song. Their song, "Trigger" was also banned from radio stations due to it's darker, more mature content. This song debuted in a period where heavy auto-tune was the thing to do. By no means did SHINee need auto-tune. This is why most SHAWOLs (SHINee fans) will always suggest a live concert version of this song. 3) "Sherlock" became famous and a huge hit for several reasons. First, it's just a great song. It was also the very first hybrid song in Kpop. SHINee stitched two of their existing songs, "Clue" and "Note" together to form the cohesive and innovative "Sherlock". This would not be Kpop's only hybrid song. In 2020, SuperM dropped their song, "One", which was a hybrid of their two songs, "Monster" and "Infinity". Interestingly enough, Taemin is also a member of SuperM. Makes me wonder if it was created at his suggestion, however that's just speculation on my part. "Sherlock" also generated the most expensive Kpop choreo of the time (maybe still) because it was choreographed by Tony Testa, MJ's choreographer for his "This is It" tour. Seeing this live is a real treat, especially during their SWC IV Concert (which I linked to in my other comment). "Sherlock's" choreo was also one in a string of SHINee's choreos which were deemed the most difficult choreos of their time: "Lucifer" (2010 which also started the dance practice trend); "Sherlock" (2012); "Everybody" (2013); "Dream Girl" (2013).

SHINee's "Replay," which came out in 2008, is literally considered one of the best debut songs of all time for any Kpop artist because it's so timeless and it never goes out of style or sounds outdated no matter how old it gets. And this is why SHINee are Icons. They still perform this song at almost every live event and concert, even after 15 years. This song actually came out more than 15 years ago, however, SM Entertainment rebranded itself and started its new KZbin channel in 2011. The company reuploaded most of their older videos at that time. So, all their older MVs and content have a 2011 or newer date, but could be much older than that. You're lucky you are watching this MV after SM remastered it, because now it has English subtitles. Because usually any of SM's videos that came out before 2018 don't have subs in the official video. "Replay" isn't just nostalgic, it's legendary. And SHINee are legends. Every new rookie group in the industry has covered "Replay" at least once in their career and it's one of those songs that is pretty much compulsory for everyone to know and learn, even still today. And, yes, of course SHINee can sing. As an SM group, you shouldn't expect any less. You can't be SM artists without having amazing vocal abilities. Even SM's rappers get intense vocal training. That is why SM is considered the vocal powerhouse of the industry, because ALL of its artists have out-of-this-world vocal abilities. And not only are all the members of SHINee amazing singers, but they are the original vocal kings. EXO now may be considered "the vocal kings of Kpop", but SHINee were the ones that showed the industry what it meant to be vocalists. From day one, Onew and Jonghyun have been two of the top vocalists in the entire industry, and SHINee as a group make up one of the best vocal groups of all time. Onew is the one in the hat, Jonghyun is the one with the headphones, Key is the one in green, Minho is the one playing basketball (he is always the tallest member) and Taemin is the one in yellow. Onew (the leader and lead vocalist) was 18, Jonghyun (the main vocalist and a songwriter) had just turned 18, Minho (the main rapper and sub-vocalist) and Key (lead vocalist and sub-rapper) were 16 and Taemin (Main dancer and lead vocalist) was 14. However, now SHINee are known for the fact that there are no longer any fixed roles in their group. The main vocalists can rap, the rappers can fill in as main vocalists and they're all impressive dancers. SHINee are some of the most well-respected artists in the industry. The Noona (the older girl SHINee have a crush on that they are singing to) in the "Replay" MV is the leader of their sister group***, Victoria from F(x). This MV came out more than a year before F(X) debuted, so this was Victoria even before debut. (Funny thing is, Victoria is native Chinese and she says she was still learning Korean during this time and she could barely even say SHINee.) Victoria was so perfect in this role because she is a few years older than any of the SHINee members so she fit well as the lead actress in this MV. As the song says, 'Noona neomu yeppeo .... replay, replay, replay ...." In other words, they are saying "pretty older woman I really like you and I think you like me too ... every time I see you, I need a replay of the moment over and over again in my head." Noona neomu yeppeo is a Korean term that essentially means "Pretty older woman" Noona neomu yeppeo is a term that is only used by guys to describe a beautiful woman that is older than them. There really isn't a literal translation of the term, so that is why the song is called "Replay" in English. But in Korean it is called "Noona neomu yeppeo." That's why if you watch SHINee on a lot of variety shows and TV programs, the older women in the show often ask SHINee to sing this song to them, even still today. This song makes all the women swoon. (Even 15 years later, when Taemin recently appeared on The Manager reality show, the female hosts of the show asked him to sing "Replay" to them.) ***SHINee and F(x) are both SM Entertainment groups, they debuted within a year of each other, they both are 5 member groups (Now 4 member groups ;( ) and they have similar music styles and concepts, etc. F(x) is pretty much the female version of SHINee. SHINee are one of the most iconic and influential groups. They are always setting trends, never following them. SHINee were designed to be SM Entertainment's experimental boy group, so everything they do is meant to be the first and they are expected to create the trend. With every new song SHINee produces it's expected to be different than the last, so you will never hear the same style or sound from them in any of their songs, even on the same album, and yet, somehow it will always sound like SHINee. They reinvent the industry with every new release. Fun fact: SM originally wanted to make SHINee a hip-hop group. Hip-hop was the style of music that was really popular when they debuted. That's why Key and Minho are both rappers and how Taemin started out as a popper in dance. But as Key tells it, they just didn't have the swag they needed in order to be taken seriously as a hip-hop group. So, right before their debut, SM switched up their sound and style to "Replay," and the SHINee members spent a few intense weeks working on their vocal abilities in order to be able to match the skills needed for a vocal heavy song like this. And the rest is history. As you just heard, this is SHINee's signature classic R&B vocals they are now known for. As you can see by their "Replay" MV, even at 14, Taemin was one of the best dancers in Kpop, and you will soon discover with the more that you watch from SHINee and Taemin's solo work, that he has only gotten more magnificent over the years. SHINee are known for their live vocals and amazing dancing. From day one they became known as CD-quality singers because they sound just as good live, if not better, than they do recorded. When they debuted they were one of the only groups who were singing live while performing this intense choreography. And everyone was so shocked with their abilities. The ONLY thing the SHINee members are not good at is lip syncing, therefore, they avoid it at all costs. When you hear SHINee singing, 95% of the time it will be live. It's a running joke between the fans and the members that when SHINee lip syncs you can tell because it's very obvious. So, unless they are required to lip sync for a specific reason, SHINee will always sing live. They have trained their entire career to build endurance and stamina in order to be able to sing live and continue to sound flawless while performing like this for more than 3 hours straight in concert. SHINee set the standard. That is why they are so highly respected among their peers. It is literally referred to as the SHINee standard. It's the standard all other groups strive to reach. You should also check out SHINee's "Replay" dance practice, kzbin.info/www/bejne/naeZYaGIaMRpb7c. It's not an official dance practice video because dance practice videos didn't become a thing until 2010 when SHINee released the very first dance practice video for their song "Lucifer," but it is a real dance practice video from way back to SHINee's debut days. SHINee are the reason why Kpop groups produce dance practice/choreography videos today. SHINee just recently talked about how they spent months as trainees practicing this choreography in order to get it down perfectly. During Taemin's recent appearance on The Manager, you will see all 4 of the SHINee members in the dance studio practicing for their 15th anniversary comeback in June, as well as their recent concert performance, and they talk about what it was like when they were trainees learning the dance.

How I interpret the story in SHINee's "Ring Ding Dong" MV is, the song is about a sort of love at first sight and thoughts of that person keep ringing through your head, so much so that you start to become obsessed with them. It's more than just protecting the girl or your love, but it's about wanting to have her all to yourself and not allowing anyone else to come between you, etc. (As the English part of the lyrics says, "Fantastic, elastic ..." because thoughts of that person are constantly bouncing around in your head.) In the MV, if you notice, at one point, you see all the members dressed in white and they are standing in an all-white room looking into the mirror. However, the image they see in the mirror is not their reflection, but what seems to be their alter ego or inner self because you see their mirror images with brooding expressions and they have wings. But their wings are not white like an angel who is pure and good, they are grey like angels of darkness. So, maybe this is showing how their thoughts are not a pure and innocent love, but one of passion and possession, etc. You see them in the white room with the white clothes because I see that as showing how they are hiding their true selves -- on the outside people think they look innocent and pure, but once you get to know them, they have far less pure intentions. When in their black and red outfits this is more their true selves. The only explanation I can see as to why they are shown lighting the candles without even touching them is a way to make it clear that they are different than what they seem and they may have "magical powers" that can be used to attract the girl and make her theirs, etc. I interpret the butterfly they talk about in the lyrics, and the ones you see them with in the MV, to represent the girl and how she is beautiful, and fragile and flits around in their life attracting them and distracting them, etc. and they want to capture her and make her theirs. It is also thought that maybe SM Entertainment is now using the butterfly to connect the storylines between SM's groups. Some theories think that maybe SHINee's black butterfly is connected to the butterfly we see in EXO's debut "Mama" MVs from 2012, which could also be connected to NingNing's butterfly in aespa's storyline from 2020. The white butterflies in the jar could even be connected to the butterflies in NCT-127's "Favorite (Vampire)" MV from 2021, etc. The butterfly is thought to possibly represent the heart of the Tree of Life from EXO's storyline and the white butterfly could be the butterfly that helps aespa navigate through Kwangya in aespa's "ep. 2 'Next Level' -- SM Culture Universe" video, which would help to connect all of SM's groups' storylines together. The butterfly keeps appearing in all of SM's MVs because its what helps the members of SM navigate through Kwangya. (Kwangya is the metaverse that all of SM's groups' and artists storylines revolve around and its even the name of SM's head quarters where everything is created.) Although SHINee's storyline may not have originally been designed to connect to anything outside of their group, I think SM has been using things from their older groups' MVs as "happy coincidences" in order to draw everyone into their SM Culture Universe storyline. Beyond that, I don't really have an explanation of anything else that is happening in the "Ring Ding Dong" MV. Most of it I interpret as just part of the aesthetic of what was the new cool think and what they were doing with MVs in 2009. The boys' hair and clothing styles and the aesthetic of the MV was supposed to give them more of a bad boy image, to sort of contrast the fact that when they debuted with "Replay" in 2008 they had a boy next door image and they were given the title as the nation's younger boyfriends -- people had a pure and wholesome image of them -- so they wanted to show that as SM's experimental boy group, people should never expect them to stay the same. SHINee will forever be changing up their image to show many different sides of themselves and all different styles of music and dance. "Ring Ding Dong" was showing a new side of SHINee. This was only SHINee's second comeback after debut, so it established their role as the ever changing and evolving group that was expected to keep setting trends and coming up with new concepts, styles and sounds. Fun Fact: Minho's long hair and Jonghyun's "Lion" hairstyle in "Ring Ding Dong" is such an iconic look. But Minho always hated this hairstyle, LOL. He has never liked having long hair. He begged SM to allow him to cut his hair and it took a few weeks before they would let him do it. They made him wait until they were done promoting this album because their hairstyles were part of the album's concept. And therefore, Minho has refused to ever grow his hair out again. ;P Also, almost all of SM's boy groups had similar hairstyles during this time period. :D Take a look at Super Junior or TVXQ in 2009. Their hair looked like this too. hehehe. This was just sort of the look for Korean entertainers back in the day. SHINee were setting tends even with their hair. As you discovered, "Ring Ding Dong," is one of SHINee's most popular songs. This song is part of the era when auto tune was brand new and it was the new cool thing that everyone was using in their new songs. SHINee was ahead of their time when this song came out and it blew people away for its sound and style, which many had never heard before. :D This is totally the look and sound that was just becoming the new it thing back in 2009. "Ring Ding Dong" is such an iconic song and it's so catchy that it has been said that in Korea this song is banned from being played anywhere or listened to during college entrance exam time. When it first came out, students complained that the song would get stuck in their heads and they couldn't concentrate on their studies or on the test. :D This is also one of SHINee's iconic choreographies and it is one of the dances that every rookie group in the industry, both boy groups and girl groups, are required to learn and know, and most have covered the song and dance at least once in their career, even still today. If you want to hear the song without the auto tune then you need to hear them perform it live in concert. Try their live MBC music festival performance of "Ring Ding Dong" in 2016, kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZ28pqWlmLGjn5o. SHINee's songs are always way different performed live. You will see how SHINee has grown.

Certainly a 90s R&B vibe with Replay. The first time I remember hearing Ring Ding Dong was on Running Man (on an episode featuring Tiger JK, Yoon Mirae, and Dynamic Duo). After selecting a syllable, they had to listen to a song and take a bite to eat every time that syllable came up. One of the groups picked Ding and therefore had to do it with this song. It wasn't an easy challenge for them. Ring Ding Dong is one of the songs that are called "SAT banned songs" because they are so addictive. Chances that the app is still active? The woman in Sherlock is former SNSD member Jessica Jung (though obviously at the time she was still with the group). Funny enough, she released a new song on Tuesday, I think. Sherlock has long held a spot in my K-Pop playlist.

I had the thought that we dont "bake in" ads anymore into videos (thank god) i guess people figured out that it severely dates the video lol I did see that a Jessica also released a song, i wasnt for sure if it was the same person, someone else left a comment about it being her from snsd. I think Taeyeon would be the only one i could spot at a glance... Is Jessica's song any good? Awesome!!! Great reaction!! These three, along with Lucifer, are probably SHINee's most iconic songs, and the ones most likely to end up on "best of" Kpop video compilations. So this was a great introduction to the group. There is a really great mix/combo of Ring Ding Dong and Lucifer in SHINee World V that's pretty easy to find on KZbin. Jonghyun comes in hot during that performance!! If you are trying to connect faces to names, (which is always difficult because the camera jumps around so much in MVs) there is a song called Excuse Me Miss performed at SHINee World IV. Near the end of the song, Jonghyun calls out each of their names and the camera pauses on them for a second. It's a great mnemonic because the song is catchy. Every Shawol reading this comment now has it running through their head. Say SHINee ... (SHINee) ... Oh, and Jonghyun comes in hot for that performance too. You mentioned a list of title tracks that you found. I'd recommend just going straight through the list. Given that there are more than 30 if you include Japanese albums and repackages, it'll give you a lot to work with. There are probably a few you'll encounter that you won't like, but most are amazing.

I suggest Married to the Music, View, Atlantis, 1of1, Don't Call Me, Good Evening, Dream Girl for group Korean title tracks. Lucifer is also iconic, but will probably sound dated now. their most recent mvs are Hard (not my personal fav song, but it did great), Juice (really good performance video) and The Feeling (song for the fans). their lives are also great (and the concert videos never get blocked): excuse me miss, like a fire, dynamite, sherlock, stranger, everybody (tokyo dome), and their rock remixes are always awesome. they also have some great japanese mvs (which are more likely to get blocked), really good b-sides, and all five of them have amazing solo music. if you like vocals, their ballads are worth checking out, as are their recording studio videos, and they also did a nice cover of an iu song a couple years go on her palette show that's popular with reactors. hope you have time someday to get hooked! :D

You may have noticed that "Sherlock" felt like you were listening to more than one song because it's a special song that combines 2 songs from SHINee's album "Clue" and "Note." That's why the title of this MV is "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" If you were to listen to the album, you would see that they are two separate songs, but when combined they become "Sherlock." So, in the MV you hear the mashup of the two songs. Therefore, you may notice if you watch a live performance of "Sherlock (Clue & Note)", Minho's whisper part in their live performance is different than what you heard in the MV because when they perform it live, they chose different parts of "Clue" and "Note" to create "Sherlock" each time. Therefore, their performance is never exactly the same, which is one reason why SHINee's concerts are considered one of the best. No matter how many times you have heard a song or seen them perform, you will never get the same thing twice. In SHINee's "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" MV the boys are Sherlock-like detectives who are looking for clues among the archives and displays in an old museum. The "ghost" girl -- who is played by Jessica Jung, the former member of Girls' Generation, a group that is also part of SM Entertainment -- is helping SHINee solve a mystery by leaving them clues. At the end they realize that the girl they have been seeing and chasing after all day is actually the girl that was originally involved in the mystery when they find an article talking about her from 1910 and they discover that they must have been seeing a ghost. The room where they have their dance breaks is the main hall of the museum, like a large ballroom in a mansion or great hall, etc. And the compass rose star in the middle of the floor I interpret to represent SHINee who are known as shining stars and it's a symbol for how they are navigating the globe as they reach fans all over the world. In this song and MV SHINee are supposed to be detectives, so the choreography has been designed to give them Sherlock-like poses and to show them investigating clues, and taking photos, etc. That is why they do that Sherlock Holmes-style exaggerated march, and why you see them kneel down and draw a line on the floor, and why they hold their hands out like they are snapping a photo, and they have that move that looks like they are brushing dust from their sleeves, etc. As you noticed, the brand name on the computer was iWatson. Like Sherlock Holmes' sidekick Watson. The computer helped SHINee solve the mystery. SHINee was actually starting a fashion trend at that time. SHINee are known for being one step ahead when it comes to fashion because they are the ones that start the trends in Korea that eventually influence fashion trends around the world. Fashion designers actually covet a chance to work with SHINee, or any of the members individually for that matter, because they know that if they can get SHINee to wear their clothes that they will become super popular. And, yes, this was the era of Taemin with long hair. Although, in the MV, Taemin's really long hair was a wig. If you notice, he only has long straight hair during the dance breaks, but during the story sections his hair is much shorter and kind of curly. However, he really did grow his hair long for a while. Taemin with long hair is one of his most iconic looks. I didn't really like Taemin's wig look, but Taemin with naturally long hair is one of my favorites. (He is actually known for making girls jealous because his hair is so perfect.) Many people thing that Taemin with long hair made him look pretty like a girl, but I actually think it's kind of a masculine look on him. Taemin's hairstyle also made him one of the most popular of the members with their Japanese fans. This was the era when SHINee really started to solidify themselves as Japanese artists, so Taemin's look had Japanese fans gravitating to them. (SHINee debuted in Japan in 2011 and now they are considered one of the most popular artists in Japan as well.) "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" came out in 2012 -- 4 years after their debut with "Replay." So Taemin is now 18 in this MV. Onew is 22, Jonghyun is 21 and Key and Minho are 20. The choreography for "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" was created by Tony Testa a very well-known "Hollywood"-famous American choreographer who has also worked with some of the most famous artists, productions and dancers in the world, including Michael Jackson. "Sherlock" was the first time SM (or pretty much anyone in the Kpop industry) had ever used a famous choreographer, and at the time, it was the most expensive Kpop production ever. Once again, SHINee were trendsetters and, because of SHINee's skill level, SM became the first to see the value in using a well-known choreographer to help create their dances and to strive for a level of choreography and video production that surpassed anything that had ever been done before. (Now, SHINee -- and numerous SM groups -- have worked with Tony Testa multiple times over the years.) Today it's common place for Kpop companies to have really famous in-house choreographers, and to seek out people in the industry who are really making a name for themselves to choreograph for them, but SHINee was one of the first. If you want to see the choreography even better, you should check out SHINee's "Sherlock" dance practice video, or better yet, one of their live concert performances of "Sherlock (Clue & Note)." I recommend their SHINee World Concert IV (SWC4) in Seoul performance from 2015, kzbin.info/www/bejne/g2XTeoGXnaeiiLs. If you think the MV is good, just wait until you see them perform it live. "Sherlock (Clue & Note)" live is on a whole other level.

As you may have noticed, Taemin is in the front and center a lot in "Replay" because he is the main dancer, so his job was to show off his dance skills. (Just like EXO's Kai, you will see that most main dancers are in the front and center in the majority of Kpop songs.) However, in their "Replay" MV, Taemin's dancing was particularly highlighted because he doesn't have any solo lines in the song, so his solo parts were taken up by big dance breaks. When Taemin debuted, he was only 14 years old, so his voice hadn't really developed yet and he didn't have a good grasp of how to use his voice and produce the sounds he wanted with it. Therefore, he was only part of the group harmonies where the other members could mask any of his vocal flaws. In the early days, people even used to make fun of Taemin's singing and they would say that he was tone deaf and couldn't sing. However, it's sort of a misconception that Taemin "couldn't sing." it wasn't that he couldn't sing, it was just that he debuted when he was so young. In the beginning, when he sang, he was often flat or his voice cracked or he was off key or out of tune, etc. And, because he was being compared to the other members of SHINee, who are all 2 to 4 years older than him, and the other members had such phenomenal voices to start out with, it really made Taemin sound like he was lacking. That's why in their first few songs you will see that he only has a few lines, and most of the time he was just given big solo dance breaks to fill the stage at his parts in the song. However, if he was really tone deaf, he never would have become an SM Idol trainee -- SM would have put him on the dance track and probably steered him toward becoming a backup dancer -- and he definitely would have never become the amazing singer that he is today. Someone who is truly tone deaf is physically unable to hear the difference in the notes and is unable to carry a tune. Taemin was chosen to debut with SHINee even though he may not have been ready vocally, because he was already such an amazing dancer, that SM wanted to highlight his dance skills, and they weren't overly concerned about his singing ability at the time. His job was to be SHINee's main dancer. But Taemin really wanted to prove to everyone that he wasn't just a dancer, so he spent a lot of extra time concentrating on vocal lessons, and the other SHINee members -- especially Onew and Jonghyun -- spent some serious time coaching and mentoring him until he learned what it took to match their vocal range and to use his voice. He worked so hard at singing that he would spend hours in the training room, and he says he would often get nose bleeds because he was so tired and was pushing himself so hard. It's also sort of an exaggeration that "SM wouldn't give Taemin vocal training." It wasn't that he didn't get any vocal training, he took vocal classes. However, because he was so young, and his voice hadn't fully developed yet, SM didn't want him to overdo it and force his voice to do things his vocal cords weren't ready for. But being the overachiever and perfectionist that he was, Taemin wouldn't take no for an answer. He took it upon himself to train his voice and, with the other members' help, he progressed really quickly. Although, it wasn't without risk. Hence, the fact that he would practice until he got nose bleeds, etc. Onew's and Jonghyun's vocal lessons were often done outside of SM's view and in semisecret. Jonghyun and Onew have always been two of the best singers in the industry that vocal coaches often use as examples of what you need to strive to emulate in order to be a great singer. Even as rookies, Jonghyun and Onew were vocal coaches and mentors to a lot of SM's trainees, including several of the members of EXO. Onew was one of only two people ever selected to be a trainee by Lee SooMan himself, and he was chosen at age 16 because of his impressive vocal abilities. And, Jonghyun has pretty much been one of the best singers in all of Kpop since his trainee days. If you notice, Taemin's style of singing, especially in SHINee songs, is a lot like Jonghyun. And the more you get into SHINee, you will see that Taemin fills in for Jonghyun whenever Jonghyun was unable to participate in a performance. And even today, Taemin often takes over the high notes and the parts that I think would probably have been Jonghyun's parts in their new songs -- he has now become one of SHINee's main vocalists. Therefore, if you watch one of their performances of "Replay" that takes place any time after their debut, you will see that Taemin has taken back his line in the song, and he sings just as much as the other members. (FYI: "Replay" is the song they sing the most out of all their songs. They perform it at almost every live event they attend and in every concert. So, there are hundreds of live performances to choose from. However, they hardly ever perform a song the same way twice, so you never know what you will get with each performance.) Jonghyun was the one that really took Taemin under his wing and helped him to become the singer and performer that he is today. So, many think that Taemin's voice emulates Jonghyun because he is the one that taught Taemin to sing. Jonghyun always has been Taemin's biggest supporter and the one that rooted for him the hardest and loudest out of anyone.

Haha, if you liked theatrical, Broadway-ish SHINee, definitely check out the live versions of Woof Woof (yes, that's the title... yes, it's about dogs in a way) and Girls Girls Girls. Like people mentioned, SHINee concert videos don't get blocked, and I'd love to see your reactions to these two works of art. 😂

For the next throwback Thursday I reccomend Tvxq the legends of kpop give a listen to bolero live, love in the ice live, & triangle they were huge in Asia back in the 2000s, but sadly at the peak of their popularity the 5 member group split to 2 due to a lawsuit that now caused Tvxq to not be as popular in the U.S. since 3 members were blacklisted from the media, they still make good music as the name jyj, or as the duo Tvxq, or as solo artists but I reccomend these 3 songs from when they were 5 members cus they were truly unstoppable 👍

It's not replay. The Korean title is "누나(NOONA) so pretty" The English title "Replay" doesn't feel like "누난 너무 예뻐" (누난 = NOONA'N', N= 'is') "누나" is what a young man says to a woman who is older than him. It is a word used by men to women they are close to in their family or social life, and only men can use it. The opposite of "누나" is "오빠(OPPA)" which is what a younger woman says to a man older than her. It is a word used for a family member or a man who is close to him in his social life, and only women can use it. The Korean title of "누난 너무 에뻐," not replay, is the best fit (The English word "you" in the music video keeps saying "누나(NOONA),누난(NOONA is)" instead of "you" "누난 너무 예뻐"(Noonan Neomu Yeppeo, 누난(NOONAN) so pretty) *누나(NUNA, NOONA) But I don't know which of these two is the closest pronunciation, Since I'm Korean, I don't know which pronunciation is closer to foreigners... I wanted to help you understand this song
