I get that she loves Brittney but the way she wanted to use Brittney's dumbness to her own advantage was just wrong. if she really loved Brittney wouldn't she be happy for her. @@MrBigbenny23 That's false, regardless of Brittany being slow in some respect, she has never shown that she couldn't handle sex responsibly (Hell she did it better than Quinn despite being supposedly way less smart). Sure there are a few ways in which she gets tricked like when Santana lies to her about the definition of cheating, but most people don't actually get the concept of cheating correctly anyway so Brittany is not alone in this. Brittany is not a child and even if she hadn't become a closet genius, she would still have enough maturity to choose her partners.

so, she blackmailed karofsky into being her boyfriend and threatened to out him if he didn't play along, just so she could look like a hero in the glee club. and just because she did it in a 'sassy' way, everyone is saying she's a queen and calling her awesome? i'm sure this would have all been very funny if karofsky didn't look so damn miserable when she told him he'd never have the courage to come out of the closet :(
@senaitgoshutekleyesus30097 жыл бұрын
I like Santana but this was definitely a terrifying and down right evil move on her part (truth be told, like a lot of the things she does), you should go to the comments section of the scenes surrounding her coming out, everybody is flipping there calling Finn a shitty person and whatnot...
@assyrianprincess37 жыл бұрын
tiger thank you! I never liked santana
@choicelee89327 жыл бұрын
It is fundamentally bad and evil but it's entertaining nonetheless because the audience thus far hasn't made to sympathize with Karofsky, remember this isn't the full arc and the story is better fleshed out contextualized with his turmoil we see later on. Plus Santana is a bitch, so it's a very troped up evil antics angle - like why does an audience find Sue Sylvester entertaining or the Joker.
@palefox7 жыл бұрын
+Choice Lee i love santanas bitchy little rants to people, even when irl they'd be really shocking and considered awful, but karofsky just looked so...sad. especially when she said all that stuff about him being a 'later in life' gay
@armind96997 жыл бұрын
Well, even tho what she did was kinda evil and only in her benefit (well Karofsky would become prom King but whatever) , Santana wouldn't hurt or damage anyone in her plan because she wouldn't actually out Karofsky cause she knows how hard it is but he was a bully back then so he had it coming for her to at least bluff and blackmail him and he was sensitive enough about the topic so he knew she would say yes. She even came out to him so even if he said No and she outed him he could do the same . So yes- Santana is a bitch and evil but even she knew that outing someone could be wrong

@jayda huntley So if I raise my hand against someone as long as I'm not actually planning to do it? No. That's scary & wrong just like actually hitting someone, as it to THREAT THAT YOU'LL OUT SOMEONE! Even if Santana wasn't planning to out Dave it does not change the fact she was planning to scare & blackmail him in order to trick Britt into being with her. She deserves to feel that shame.
@eviekenyon5744 жыл бұрын
jayda huntley obviously it doesn’t change what Finn did because that was awful, but Santana was fully prepared to do the same to Dave if he didn’t do what she said. Whilst not as bad as actually outing him, that’s far more manipulative than what Finn did
@thelordnaevis49463 жыл бұрын
That’s because Finn didn’t even threaten her, he literally outed her. He didn’t purposely did it, but he could’ve kept a low voice.
@getitboy833 жыл бұрын
She threatened him, so what? She did it to help him keep up appearances and get Kurt back. She never was going to do it since she outed herself to Dave. Mutually assured destruction, anyone? That was the point. However, Finn did it because he wanted to hurt her. He even said it to Rory right before he outed her. Also, why isn’t Kurt getting heat for blackmailing Dave? He literally gave him the same threat/ultimatum in Figgins office before returning to school.
@xxxmaysilssss6903 жыл бұрын
@@getitboy83 what we’re not going to do is act like threatening to out someone so you can force them to do your dirty work people is harmless. Both are wrong, and even if Santana wasn’t “really” gonna out him, she still manipulated him and made him practically fear for his life by dangling the possibility of it over his head. And don’t come at me with “he deserved it”, because Santana was a bully too. A massive bully who manipulated and controlled people. No one deserves to be outed against their will though. No one. Plus Santana didn’t even have “noble” intentions with this, she did it to try and manipulate Brittany to be with her (once again). The reason Kurt doesn’t get the same heat for it is because Karofsky terrorised him and threatened to kill him. Again - no one should be outed against their will, but at least Kurt had some solid reasoning for why he did it. Santana was just being a massive bitch for the sake of it. And maybe this would’ve been more “funny” if we didn’t see Santana having a breakdown over getting outed herself in another episode. So apparently we’re supposed to take one bully being outed as horrible, and an invasion of privacy, while basically laughing at the other one because they were only THREATENED to be outed? This is a joke.

Brody I’m not saying what she did was ok, but, to be fair, Dave was a horrible person who bullied Kurt relentlessly- so bad that he had to switch schools. This scene kinda made it hard for me to empathize with her when Finn outed her in the next season. She used his sexuality as blackmail over him. We saw season 3 and how Dave tried to commit suicide after he was outed at his new school. What if Santana actually did out him, and he committed suicide because of her? As someone who was in the closet herself, she should've known just how _devastating_ it could have been to be outed. And she did that to get Kurt at McKinley to have a shot at nationals, win prom queen and potentially Brittany. Just because she didn't do it doesn't mean she didn't plan to, and she didn't do it not because of the kindness of her heart but because David did her bidding. But people hail her for this, "yeah she sassy, what a power move" That being said, Finn shouldn't have outed her, and definitely not in that crowded hallway. If Santana had also tried to kill herself, that would have been on Finn. The Glee writers were really weird with this storyline
@youssef49552 жыл бұрын

Okay, I love Santana but she shouldn’t have threatened to out Dave. It’s a very scary feeling and now that she has experienced it, I hope she realizes she shouldn’t have threatened him. I’m glad she didn’t do it but I hated her when she did that. The look of hurt on Dave’s face was just so sad. I don’t like Dave but he didn’t deserve to feel that amount of fear. But she did tell Dave she was a lesbian so she gave him an advantage.

Same. I loved Naya, but I absolutely hated Santana until later seasons.

“The only straight I am is a straight up bitch” is literally the best line in the show and my new motto 😂

I don't like what Santana did here, it almost feels like she's using Kurt as a pawn. especially when she mentioned him to Karofsky. I genuinely feared for Kurt's life when I saw this episode for the first time.

"The only straight I am is a straight up bitch"! I am guilty of using that line too many times.

"Then I'm gonna tell everyone about you and your life will be over." Oops. Foreshadowing much?

Max was so good in his role. I wish they had used his character more in the series.

"I'm a closet lesbian and a judgmental bitch, which means one thing: I have awesome gaydar" From now on, I will be using this phrase religiously.
