I thought exactly like you on the range & charging, but I pulled the trigger anyway on the launch MY as we don’t make long trips often and we always stop and eat when we do and it is charged before we are done at the supercharger. There were enough perks on the launch that sealed the deal. I wanted quiet and speed. I own a ‘23 MY AWD and love it so I am looking forward to the refresh.

I think you need to check your stats. The acceleration of the former was from a rear wheel drive model Y and compared against the AWD with acceleration boost. I better compare would be the current AWD with acceleration boost to the new launch version. 4.2 to 4.1 seconds. It's still an improvement.

I didn’t see where they put the rear camera. In the old MY, the rear camera has a blind spot above the trunk. I once used self-parking in a parking structure and crumpled my spoiler due to this blind spot.

1. Tesla cuts production time in any way possible, including the logo (everyone should already know its a tesla anyway) 2. I dont have an asnwer on the wipers, but they know how much people drive daily and its not worth it to put a 400 mile range if most owners will never use it, even on a road trip

I still don’t like the door closing system. Push the door until it is a few inches away from being closed, then let the closing mechanism take over so you have a no-bang door close. It can’t be that hard to create.

I own a 2020 Tesla MYP with FSD. People are not talking about Tesla because they are talking about Musk. The worst CEO spokesperson of his time. I purchased the 2-year warranty extension while waiting for the Juniper. I will wait for my HW3-HW4 retrofit now that he admited unsupervised FSD will not work with HW3 vehicles. I’m also not buying the launch edition because of the price. I’m looking at Rivian R2 as well now as it seems their assisted autonomous driving software should be enough for my needs in mid 2026.
