If I got it right, BYD makes a lots of different viecles, electric Busses Trucks and ofcorse BEV but they makes a lot of Hybrid cars, if I understand it, they are not bigger than Tesla on making BEVs

BYD got with Chinese mentality too big to stay competitive the Tesla style so it’s a question of time when costs are no more under control due to exaggerated expansion that makes no money unlike Tesla where every venture they go into makes its own money after short time.

Good day from Goonellabah, NSW, Australia. I am embarking on a significant six-month journey. I'll be circumnavigating Australia in two Cybertrucks and a Tesla Semi, covering a substantial 22,000 kilometres. This journey is set to commence at the end of September 2025. Elon Musk will help me. I started in 1972 to 1974 when I received air pollution results from my contract with the EPA NSW governments. I did this because I used to live in Eastern Arterial Rd, Lindfield NSW 2070, Sydney, one of the areas with air pollution. I went on to expose the air pollution across Sydney and Newcastle. I was in pain arse of every EPA of all States across Australia. I don’t get it, how can BYD borrow on supplier invoices as you can’t borrow against debt? They could borrow on customer orders or their suppliers could borrow on their invoices to BYD but not the other way around. Evergrand would have been borrowing against property sales contracts with customers for unfinished & possibly even not built property i presume 🤔

I believe Jeff Lutz explained it. BYD creating IOUs to tier 1 suppliers, which can be broken down & passed on to tier 2 etc. Kinda company currency. It’s a very long debt chain, akin to pyramid scheme, which might work out as long as BYD keep growing. But it looks like maybe BYD loses money on each sale. But that’s world best practice for car companies, globally.

I first bought TSLA @ $290, Saw them drop to $181, then pop up to $917! Then fall to $460, then shoot up to $2,200 & Split 5:1! They have split 3:1 since then! The Rollercoaster that is "TSLA" has almost always had very large "Swings" in Sentiment! I only expect bigger Swings! If you want "Safety" put your $ in an envelope, in your Night Stand, which is just about the same as a Bank Savings Account, today!

It is worth a speculation. We know BYD makes cheaper vehicles, and initially, they seem really nice, especially for the price, but we don't know much about them - but we do know they are paying a lot of their suppliers 9 months out. Those are stories worth knowing

In general, BYD's economic weakness will become apparent when the overall Chinese experiences a significant slowdown. For example if Trump enacts significant tariffs which dramatically slows down the Chinese economy the BYD's financial practices will become apparent.
