i think the hatred is more on that moe seems to take over a realy good idea in most cases, i recently started watching one where the female protagonist has something called 8th grader syndrome, and you get to look at thing through her eyes....or eye as in most cases, and it looked like if you got rid of the 8th grader syndrome thing it would have been a realy kool action/scifi anime, but even so its still fun to watch.

I now right! Its nice to kick back on an anime that is just cute and bubbly and simple. An easy watch. Sure I love animes with lots of plot, Durarara, FMA brother hood ect. But then I'm all like Lets watch Lucky Star! And K-on! ect. x3

you make it seem like people have to like moe, essentially the art style is what dictates whether someone likes it or not. While most animes that incorporate moe are light hearted, you cant deny that there will be people who want to watch a more serious type of anime that involves thinking.

Its not so much that people hate moe and more that they hate moe to the exclusion of all else (they prefer stories with more complex stories or the like). And sometimes its not even that they hate moe to the exclusion of all else, they just don't like the image it gives when they say they watch shows for the cute girls (I guess cute guys too, less common though).
