Unlike other comments on here I'm writing tonight while I listen to your song. Dam. I have to write or else I'd go out of my mind. Writing always helps. It has always been a release for me to write out emotions ;) How did it all go so wrong? Sometimes I wonder if fate really does exists. Here goes nothing. I'm sure you Cole would only understand what I'm talkN bout. ;) A little bit of me is what I want to write to you. I feel as if I need to explain myself. Its not easy to talk to stars but I hope I can get this to you. First of all , if I could go back I would, but I can't. Things I did and said, wish I could, but I can't. Your songs helped me get through a lot of hard times. I guess one of the biggest hard traumatizing moments for me was when my cousin, T.J., passed away. I went through the feeling of guilt, wondering if I couldve did things any differently to save him. He was a troubled young man, but he was also a very sweet soul. and I loved him dearly. Although we had lost touch through the years. Family is family and I did indeed love him. I blamed myself a lot even though none of it was any of my fault. I did feel something was wrong and I tried talking to other family members about it, but they told me to stay away from him. I still tried talking to family members that I thought something may be wrong and I wanted to go and try to find him. I finally gave up and thought that it was just me. On my birthday lunch on September the 9th 2014 I received the news from my mother that my cousins mother had found him deceased in his home. I took it so hard and went through months on end of a lot of tears and a lot of I was right to think the way that I did, but nothing I could do. Blaming yourself and hurting for the loss of a loved one is never easy. I had a friend, my daughters father, who lives in Indiana, who has always been someone who serves the USA. I spilled my feelings to him, he is always a good listener and friend. It helped. A lot of times I would listen to Luke Bryans Drink a Beer and Wish you were here by Pink FLoyd. I took the time to feel what I was feeling and release it. It also helped. Little by little some of the hurt went away. Being traumatized is something that is hard to explain. I've had a lot of it in my life the last few years. I'm a hard worker and at one point in my life i did Serve our country. Many years ago, but I loved serving our soldiers. I feel bad at times for speaking too much, for saying things I dont mean. Sometimes when someone doesnt understand things the only way to get it out is to release it. I forgot over time lots of things and just went on with life. That's the only thing you can do when you lose someone/ you dont forget, but you do have to try and get over what you are feeling. My path went a different way and a different turn, lots of different turns. without looking back . I guess that music was the one thing that made me feel good and it was Country at that. Jamming in the car most days was my favorite in between from work errands and taking my kids back and forth from school. Usually listening to country music on the radio. Lifes really busy. lols. Most days on lunch breaks I would take time to release some emotions by writing. My attention was definitely elsewhere after the passing of my cousin. I wanted to point out the hatchables. Its a toy for kids. Don't know if you have ever heard of them or not. but noteworthy. I wanted to point out that I didnt go to college, I went straight out of highschool into serving our country. I am smart and talented but definitely not on a college level. I was speaking to a friend of mine, about hatchables, and told him I came up with it, but I got left out of it. and was sad. He commented and I qoute"Kind of like Cole Swindell wrote Luke Bryans songs. I didn't know wth he was talking about. I actually pondered for a long time just wth he was talkN bout. That was the first time I had ever graced hearing your sweet name. I wondered just who you were and wanted to hear some of your music. So I went on facebook and had to look you UP. ;) So I guess I took up a new pass time. My focus fell instead of elsewhere , to you ;) Funny how things turn out. Never really paying much attention through the years. I look back now and your music helped me release so many emotions, feelings. whatever was goin on or not goin on in my life, music always helped me. Still just living and not paying much attention. Back in early June of this year, a soldier had passed away and was brought back to our town. It was something that doesnt normally happen around here. It broke my heart. I thought of supporting our Veterans and trying to do something nice. I had bought some tickets to a show of yours and Jon Pardi and Dierks at PNC. I thought of that i could go see yall another time and if I could reach a goal for the tickets that I would donate the money to the family, but I couldnt get enough people on board to do it. I thought that it would be a worthy cause. and if it meant sacrificing the tickets I had purchased to help support a soldiers family, why not? I am a very loving and caring person and always try to help people. I work as a CNA. Nursing Assistant helping elderly and disabled patients in their home so that they can remain at home and not have to go to a Nursing Home or Assisted Living. I guess I may have wrote PNC in months prior a few things about helping veterans. I usually am straight forward with things. After not being able to raise enough money and not many people being on board, I decided to go ahead with the plans of coming to see ya in concert for the first time. I wanted to point out that other traumas in my life were present through the years. Not paying attention and working my butt off was another pass time of mine., lol. My husbands birthday was on June the 26th. I believe the concert down at PNC was on June the 24th. We had bought stage front tickets because my husband is legally blind and has a pacemaker and he would much more , I thought he'd enjoy stage front tickets. and so would I. It was the 2nd ever concert that I had ever graced before. My shamelessly to say first ever concert was Zach Brown Band down in Charlotte the previous year because I had won some tickets off of the local radio station,.I say shamelessly because I usually don't have a lot of money to attend concerts. I spent the money to come see you in concert. Or rather went into debt, but it'll get paid off eventually. lols Everyone kept coaxing me to throw the picture of my Dad and I onto the stage but I just hung on to it for the longest time. I didn't know if I was supposed to do that or not. I made eye contact with I believe your drummer.? I wish I knew his name. My husband is also a musician and he made the sny comment that I should be giving some love to the band members because they count too. So I did. I asked him from afar about giving throwing it up on stage and he kinda said hey, I'm a lil busy right now. lols. You sang U should b Here and I cried so very hard. I threw the picture up on stage. Some people from the back came out and picked it up and carried it backstage. I wanted to point out that I am not a big drinker, I don't even drink, but at your concert I had a beer. Just one. I had to after U should B here or during it. I had taken a picture of my Dad and I prior to the concert and went to CVS and blew it up the best that they could. On the back I made mention of my father and made mention of the fallen soldier from our town. Funny. some drunk guy in the crowd saying lets get weird. That night it was my cousin Mark Taylor and his girlfriend of many years. They took of with my debit card that my husband had while on our restroom break. and were out in the crowd somewhere. Needless to say the night was over. Being it my husbands birthday and he was drinking lots that night and my debit card was stolen by my cousin. The night was over. My husband couldn;t even hardly stand so I had to walk him back to the car out in the parking lot/tailgate area. Had to sit there for almost like two more hours before my cousin and his girlfriend came out. I should've left them there. but family, what can ya do? lols. I listened to you guys from the car. I hate I missed Dierks. My husband is still apologizing to me for making me miss the rest of the show. I heard you guys say a thank you to soldiers and ask if any nurses where in the house. ;) i was. Moving forward. I was at work and heard a song on the radio. It was flatliner. Hit me fairly hard being I never really paid much attention through the years. I had to go out and buy it. SO , I did. If I could pick a song that reflects how I was feeling about you and your music, I would definitely pick that song ;) I had been putting some emotions out and about. I heard Party Isn't Over on the radio. I loved it! Kind of put me in the mind of me not wanting to leave your concert because That band I loved was still playN.;) I didnt know which way was up or down but I hit hard and rock bottom for a few months due some things going on in my life. If I could go back and do it over I would but I cant. :( I would definitely tell my ex to stay downtown but Id say that to an actual ex, I would never say that towards my favorite band. NEVER I had already booked a while back a show after hours VA. but I guess I had rehashed my cousin passing away. The only show for anywhere near where i live at was in VA, and guess what? The only date was on September the 9th, my birthday, the day my cousin had passed away. SO with all that hit me so hard and then rehashing my cousins death as well and the date being what it was. I just couldn't make myself go, I was hurt, confused, all of the above. I ended up giving my tickets away

I lost my girlfriend Christina in March of this year, we were together for almost 15 years. I started calling her "Beautiful" when hearing the song "Good Morning Beautiful" was being played a lot back in 2003. She fell in love with being called "Beautiful" every morning when I came home from working the night shift. She eventually got a tattoo of her nickname on her lower back, I have a smaller version of the same tattoo(both were done by the same artist) on my chest by my heart in remembrance of her.
