I was rooting for him since his audition, I understand his struggles towards the finals. During puberty males voice would go deeper and even if you speak would squeak unintentionally. It was evident from semis to his finals performance. Proper technique and practice is important to maintain those runs and notes. Nonetheless, it was a great fight, keep it up.

Xìng Hua Lì I agree and I’m glad I’m seeing some positive comments after seeing some people say that puberty that ruined his voice. He hit puberty only shortly like a few weeks before the finals which gave him a disadvantage and less time to practice and develop his new voice. I still think he deserved to win despite some voice cracks and not so good notes in his finals performance. And yeah it was slightly noticeable that his voice got a little deeper in his semi final performance.

True, it's definitely more difficult to sing one type of song before puberty and then have to change your style after the fact. I havnt listened to any of his other performances but I'm sure they are great! :)
