Over the course of 10 days my pool slowly rolled down the yard due to a slight decline, and then the pool folded from the pressure and we had the great flood of 2020. Had somebody been in the pool at the time it would've been like riding the rapids with no raft. So I'm really appreciating your videos and hope they help me enough to make this the last time I have to set up the pool this summer.

Tips from my observation and experience - Just trying to help. 1. Make sure the ground is perfectly level using a level taped to a 2 x 4 with a center pivot such as a piece of PVC pipe screwed to the end of the 2 x 4. Fill all low areas with sand and remove all high areas with a shovel, etc. 2. Before filling - After stretching the pool bottom out, measure with a tape measure making sure all sides have the same measurements so it will come out perfectly round. 3. Filling with water - After only one inch of water is in the pool, start stretching the wrinkles out to the sides of the pool and continue doing that as the water is filling until you can't do it anymore. Having a sense of urgency is best, especially if your water is on full blast. 4. Even though filling the pool can be done with two people, having three people stretching the bottom out while the pool is filling is highly recommended. My observation - Having a teenager sometimes can be difficult and even funny, especially when they don't take good advice from their parent. Rather than arguing in certain situations, I let my teenager learn from his mistakes to help him make better decisions in the future. Anyhow, my son and his friend decided to put up the pool disregarding all the warnings I gave them and all the reasons why. The pool ended up being lopsided because it wasn't level so the air compartment couldn't be inflated to the recommended pressure. Then instead of the pool being round, it had somewhat of a egg shape because the bottom wasn't measured and stretched out as I mentioned in tip number two. The catastrophe - After about a week of the pool being up, we had several days of heavy rain. The water started pouring over the low side like a waterfall making the sidewall collapse and then all the water drained out of the pool. Doing it right and redemption - My son and his friend wanted to put up the pool up again. Of course I volunteered to help them only if they wanted to work a little and do it the right way. The key word is "work" lol. We did everything as I described in my tips and the pool came out perfect. We've had it up for almost five months with no issues at all but I think the pump could be a little better at least to be able to hook up a vacuum to it and work right. We just use a wet vac to do that, and that works pretty good. Other than that, what a great $119.00 investment for a 12ft x 30in pool to keep us cooled off and lounge around in, even for me. Have fun and stay healthy.

Great video! Very helpful and so detailed. Our pool filled up with water in 4 hrs. We also have a slight decline but we covered it with sand. So the pool is in the shape of an oval. I think the pump hole ('a' hole inside) is quite high and doesn't do the job of collecting dirt from the bottom unless someone is in the pool. We ordered the solar cover as the water is freezing (we live in the UK) and electric heaters are too expensive.

For the 12x30 it looks like I need 2 long hoses & 2 short hoses,a "T" connector and the filter knobs that go on the inside of the pool holes that suck/blow the water in/out. Do you know where I can get all those needed parts and or what they are called? Any help would be fantastic!

Can I just put the shock treatment and the bleach tablet? What exactly is the filter pump for or used for?
@How2Review4 жыл бұрын
The pump filters out the dirty and other stuff you can't see. Of course, you can still use the the pool without a pump at as long as you use bleach tablets, but you might have to change your Pool water about 2-3 days. Also, I bought a net for the pool to get out additional debris. A swimming pool pump is an essential device that is used for efficiently filtering a pool. The pump pulls the water from the pool, pushes it through a filter and then circulates the water around the pool, leaving you with clean and safe water to swim and bathe in.

Hello..thank you very much for your entire series of videos on this subject. We just bought the Intex version of the same 10x30in pool. We wanted to get it last year, but it was sold out everywhere due to the pandemic and lockdown..so I have a question. How difficult is it to get in or out of it? I see you have a step stool of some kind..I don't want the kids climbing all over it to get in and out and I am a 55 year old man..not so nimble on my toes anymore..what do you suggest we use? Thanks again..
@How2Review3 жыл бұрын
Hello, I normally use a plastic pallet with steps for the kids to enter an exit out of the poor... I also place a workout mat in front of the plastic pallet to ensure they their feet are clean before entering the pool. Also, I sometimes have the kids to take a quick shower before getting in the pool to reduce the oil and dirt on their bodies. This will help to keep your pool cleaner much longer.

Hey i'm confused. It comes with a short plug, about 2m. But says you cant use an extension cord. How the heck can i get electricity out to my yard without one? any ideas ( i'm in australia) so 220 volt power her. Thanks for any ideas
@How2Review4 жыл бұрын
To be honest, there is no other way but to use an extension cord. I currently live in Germany so I am also using the 220 voltage system here.. The only recommendation I can give you is to purchase a 220 extension cord with a surge protector so that you don't fry your pump by accident. Secondly, make you don't leave you pump on while in use and always remember to pack it away when you are done.. I used an extension cord the whole summer and my pump works perfectly. I hope this helps.

My recommendation is to run your pump at least 1-2 hours per day when no one is in the pool. Make sure you clean your water daily ie, vacuum dirt, use tennis balls to absorb the oil. Shock( term meaning to clean your pool with chemical to destroy bacteria or to prevent algae) your pool every 7- 14 days and inspect the filiters to make sure nothing is clogging the water flow from passing through the filtration system. Good luck and I wish you a great summer 😊

if the pool looks saggy and doesn’t stand up straight then what should i do?
@How2Review4 жыл бұрын
Before you do anything, first find a flat spot to set up on. I recommend placing mats on the ground and setting the pool on top of the mats for additional stability if you bottom surface isn't completely flat. Before putting water in the pool I recommend filling the top white part with air. Once that is done step in side of the pool and stretch it out as far as you can. Next add about 1-2 inches of water then step back inside to stretch the bottom out. If done correctly this should prevent any sagging. It's easier it you have some one helping you.. Don't foget to plug in the black rubber nobs and close the pool drain so that your water is level on all sides:)
