I noticed the audience became more animated when Sexxy Redd was on stage, but Victoria Monet's fantastic performance of 'On My Mama' and 'Alright' didn't get a full standing ovation. They cant sing, cant play instruments, etc. Unfortunately, the imagery is projected around d the world as being the totality of African Americans. I hate BET. I do believe BET mission is to market the negative imagery in African American communities. There are no other communities that women call themselves B@@ches, as word of 'endearment".Nor are there any groups that integrate a derogatory word used by their oppressors into the lexicon of its community. It's ridiculous for those that believe they have flipped the word and now they use it freely in music. Words have power. So all the artist that bend toward this false identification of N@@@@@hood, are creating a path for generations to follow suite. And, BET will continue to showcase vulgarity as oppose to showcasing talented positive artist in our various genres of music.

Mathew Perry is responsible for his death. I didn't see anybody accusing another person's other than Coolio when he overdosed. Or any other celebrity, rich or poor person, for that matter. We could all accuse a doctor for over prescribing or a dr#g dealer for selling to a known addict. But an addict is an addict not matter social standing or finances. I stopped watching BET, when Ed Gordon left. When they used to do the nightly news! I tried when Tyler Perry did his shows. Then he got his own network, and I’ve been left BET a long time ago alone.

It was ok. I am tired of the women showing too much on BET to impress . Your gift should impress me and not that worldly things!

Thanks for the update. I'm with you, they don't want real singers! I wish they would bring back Stepen Hill. 🤷🏽♀
