I dunno if you can notice this, but the guards speak normally rather than having that muffled walkie-talkie like speech. Also, several weapons can be seen held by Jak instead of Daxter when in a vehicle.

There's also the fact that the alarm sounds are more prominent in the beta version. The final version's alarm siren is more distant.

I am happy they changed the sound when the guards were after you! The repetitive "reUEG rrEUGH" is so generic, boring, and annoying.

I find it funny how in the same year PCSX2 1.5 was already out as a development build which fixed some of the problems on Jak II which is scrapping DX9 and 10 entirely and replacing them with DX11 and OGL

I like the original design of the main district, but I think the final release one fits better (it looks more dystopian). Still, would have been cool if they'd incorporated the original design for that area for when it returned in Jak 3 (like how most of the slums were renovated), though I suppose it would have been pointless since that area is mostly destroyed by the palace anyway.

@DonkeyPlanet How did you get this demo to look like a PS3 game? Are you perhaps using an HD capture card, emulator, or HD link cable? Just curious, mate. I'm wondering how I can get my old PS2 titles to look this good. Thanks for the great content.

This game is emulated with the PCSX2 PS2 emulator, that is why it looks like an HD port.

The debug mode button sequences different for the betas/demos. I accessed debug mode with memory changing.

Certain enemy's only do one damage so that's why.

Cause high falls and some enemy only take 1 damage so you have 7 oportunities before you die

@@raffa9783 indeed yes minor differences main town and weapons different because which level is not in the demo disc. I'm not sure about E3 2003 internal build of jak 2 it's compare to E3 demo they haven't build it yet
