Discussion on the Beta Map switch and why I chose to remove it!

I switched modes per race conditions all the time. Tight canyons - wet mode. Sand river - dry mode. Etc etc... I need a handlebar mount on my '22 300 race at this point as I hate the new tank location.

I have a 2018 250 rr. I remounted mine to the location that they install it on the2020

on my 2018 it's mounted on the steering lock :o)

@@angelosudano6583 the 2 wires from the map switch run down past the steering stem to the main harness above the engine head. One of the map switch wires is a ground that just screws to the frame, and the other goes to the main harness with a single bullet plug to connect to the main harness. That wire runs to the CDI box. The switch simply provides a ground trigger to the CDI box wire. When grounded on my 2017, it retards the timing for a "wet" map. When open, it's in dry mode. I believe the main CDI wire is white....but years will vary.
