58:14 - God! That scared me! You might as well add that sound to Queen Vanessa's Manor. Heart attacks will be even more likely! But anyway, great interview! It's interesting to hear about how modding led to the creation of the game. Didn't know it'd help that much for game development itself.

I dunno why a lot of people are trying to give this game a bad rep. The whole JonTron fiasco was terrible enough. Look, I don't like the guy myself, but I'm not going to give the game flack just because some famous KZbinr voice two lines, TWO FREAKING LINES for 30 SECONDS as an FREAKING NPC. It'd be a different story if he voiced a character that play a major role in the game, but that wasn't the case. And second, so what if Jonas had some dark past? I dunno what it was, but does it really matter in the end? Everyone make mistakes, but the most important thing is that people move on from those mistakes. And I think Jonas did just that. He really seems like nice guy with a good sense if humor. He's taking some feedback from a lot of people who played A Hat in Time, and trying to find ways to improve it. This game honestly doesn't deserve to get hate for petty reasons, people pirating it for those reasons doesn't make them better people. It's wrong, and unfair to the developers. A Hat in Time is an adorable 3D platformer with charming characters, witty humor, great music, fun bosses, fast/fluid gameplay, and interesting worlds and level designs. The game's not perfect, but it's definitely a good example of how you do a Kickstarter. *Eyes at Mighty No. 9 and Yooka-Laylee.* Also...a game's legnth shouldn't really be a con as long as the overall package is enjoyable. Heck, 14 hours for an indie game is pretty impressive. Indie titles usually only last about 2-6 hours. Longer games does not always equal fun. I can list a few games with a good length but can still be enjoyable like Xenoblade, but I think a lot of longer games tend to lose their steam during the second half or something.

In case the team at Gears for Breakfast reads the comments: You people made the best indie game of 2017. I play a lot of games, and work in the field designing props etc. This game/project is such a motivator. I wouldn't even call it an indie as far as the strengths it has. So many boring/ repetitive games these days. A hat in time is a breath of fresh air. I hope the team has some development footage. Also hope you guys get a GDC talk about the game. And can't wait to see the DLC's. And whatever new comes from your team. Keep at it!

Aaron Greenfield it's called a like button silly
@aarongreenfield90387 жыл бұрын
Gnar. That is a like button, I said a dislike button, essentially to dislike every dislike on the dislike button, so two dislike buttons, so they effectively cancel each other out, a dislike for every dislike. The like button only cancels out the dislikes if they are equal, like for dislike, so just in case that doesn't happen, they need a dislike button, to dislike the dislike button!...
@Alolan.Vulpix.Getting.Railed7 жыл бұрын
Aaron Greenfield thats basically the like button as it negates the dislikes
@aarongreenfield90387 жыл бұрын
Gnar. Like I said, only if it's equal likes for every dislike, if you have a dislike button to dislike the dislike button you cancel them all out, meaning that there is no dislikes!

Gnar. And the point I was trying to make was that this channel does not deserve any dislikes!

This game was made in Unreal Engine 3, which the Switch can't natively support. The art that's used in the game for tilesets and titlecards were made by artists that were still in the team. Artists did leave the team, but they didn't use any of their art in the final game. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZy8gKqbptqZg8k A re-uploaded video of Jonas addressing everything that happened. Unless you can give us credible evidence that isn't anecdotel, Maxofs2d instigated the entire situation, whined in front of everyone, and created a misunderstanding. Even if Jonas did do that stuff, who the hell cares? I'm sure he learned from his mistakes anyway, and simply doesn't wanna tarnish his reputation. Plus, how do you know he hasn't changed? Did you talk to him? Jonas is constantly helping people in A Hat in Time's Discord server as well as addressing every ounce of criticism. The dude seems nice, very patient, and intelligent. At least he isn't as bad as Phil Fish for God sake! Also, what about the rest of the dev team like Pascel, Jenna, or William? Those guys don't have a 'dark' past. I've even spoken to a few of them. To be frank, pirating a video game because of one person's vague past is selfish. btw nice edit

Jonas is not like that actually, I've been working with him since 2012 and he has been nothing but understanding and professional. People change and I don't think it's fair to say the game should be pirated, we worked hard on it.
