Really great video. Even I understood it, which for FPV topics, is amazing 👏 😂

Good info, John. I need to learn more about ELRS.

I haven't bought a crossfire rx since I started using it. Seriously have yet to have a bad experience and I'm running ELRS on a lot of my quads now, both SPI receivers as well as external rx. There is a technical learning curve to using it vs. crossfire but it is getting better all the time. You would be able to figure it out no problem knowing your tech skills.

Thanks... I used your video for flashing Edge on my Taranis Plus, I also have ExpressLRS but had no joy with the Lua script on OpenTX as it would always crash, I don't have the LCD TX like you I have the pro 2.4 without it so I need to run the script to put the wifi mode on. My problem is with Edge the Lua script will open and say Script Panic, Not enough memory... Any idea? Thank You :)

Is this with the ELRSV3 lua script or ELRS V2 lua script? Mine works just fine with no memory issues on 2.5.1 but I have not updated to 3.0 yet.

Can't wait to go ERLS, though the Frsky receiver's are not breaking on me so think it will be another year atleast haha.
@JohnCuppi2 жыл бұрын
None of mine have broken, either, but going ELRS has saved me money because I have not had to purchase any new crossfire receivers or antennas. I’m saving about $12 or a little more on each receiver depending on where I’m buying them with any sales. I’ve also been able to retrofit some of my whoops with worse-than-usual frsky d8 range with ELRS micro receivers like the flat antenna and it’s made a night and day difference.

@@JohnCuppi Ah nice! I have never actually bought a receiver hey. Just re use the OG ones I have from my old BNF. Even on whoops I'm just running Rxsr Frysky hey. Hopefully one day I can make the switch :)

Well, I don't want to fly to the moon...I just want to fly indoors, in large venues like theaters, restaurants, gyms, etc. Is the 250mw module in the zorro enough for this kind of penetration flying?
@JohnCuppi2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, sorry, I don't have enough experience flying indoors at large venues to answer that. It would probably depend on a lot of factors. I would want probably want 900mhz ELRS instead of 2.4ghz if I was concerned about maximum penetration in very high RF areas.

Do you use taranis x9d+ yet? I plan to get my taranis x9d to edgext on One days and put expresselr model on it

Yes, I use it all the time to fly my plane with this module. Zero issues. 🙂

@@zvonimirtrgovcic5499 I am still on 2.7, haven’t seen a reason to upgrade. Tried to go to 2.8 last year but I kept running out of memory with my iNav script.

Yeah I'd like 1w in small form factor, but i think the only option isn't very reliable. Still not necessary, I hit 3 miles on 500mw (250hz), so really, my range outlasted my battery(almost)
@JohnCuppi2 жыл бұрын
If my module ever dies for some reason I’ll do a follow up, so far it’s been reliable using it at 500mw! Seems to have good enough cooling. Since I don’t fly anywhere that I “need” 1W, I haven’t extensively tested that. I did leave it on just as a test to make sure it didn’t crap out before making this.
