4+ minute flights on those lipos is really impressive. I've been only getting 2-3 minutes on my GNB lipos so I'll have to give these a try now. Thanks for the review!

I saw on facebook that some guys were saying the Tattu's only lasted 2 minutes and now I know that's just fake news.
@ChrisHarmon18 ай бұрын
Depends on setup and how you're flying. For example, a 65mm hovering around? 3 minutes minimum even with HDZero/Walksnail. HD 65mm flying hard? 2 minutes is easily possible. We are pushing the limits discharging lipos in 4 minutes or less, at this rate of discharge I wouldn't expect much more than 30 cycles before performance starts to degrade. If you are running HD and getting 3 minutes, performance will degrade at a much higher rate. This issue and leaving Tattu/newbeedrone/tinywhoop/webleed 300mah cells charged for more than a day will see them puffing extremely quick when compared to say a GNB 1s 550. I'm here watching this video curious about any new cells available in the 1s 8 gram space in hopes that things will improve.

Im not joking, be very careful about these batteries. I ordered 8 of them and around 6 of them were defective. the defective ones started at 4.20V, but after around 30s to 1m my quad would drop out of the sky. The tattus I mean.
@vanlifefpv63408 ай бұрын
Looks like betafpv cracked the code on these type of lipos and the performance is really good. Doesn't matter that the tinywhoop lipos are out of stock because they are way overpriced imo.

50% increased flight time would require completely different chemistry. People do not understand what a leap 50% would be.

If you watch the flight videos carefully you'll notice the overall voltage sag on the lava lipo is slightly better than the tattu. Might be worth it for those looking for that slight performance edge.

Copied from elsewhere: >>> At the moment, the best 1S batteries are folded-cell LIHV packs made by Grepow, which are sold under their Tattu brand, and also rebranded and sold by WebleedFPV, Newbeedrone, tinywhoop and Dogcom. Current available sizes are: 270mah 300mah (dogcom labels theirs 320mah, but it's the same cell that everyone else has for their 300s) 450mah Tattu is generally recommended as they sell the 5 pack for the same price as others sell 4 packs, but see what's cheaper for yourself.

I bought some of the Lava 1s 550mah’s for my meteor75 pro and can confirm those are very good as well. I get around an extra 60 seconds of flight time vs the old blue 550’s.
@galardo33038 ай бұрын
The blue betafpv lipos are garbage. On the 300mah I get around half flighttime with the meteor65 while cruising compared to the tattu.
@krish30338 ай бұрын
Yeah, the blue 300’s are especially garbage. One thing I’ve noticed is that most of the blue batteries have been almost fully charged when I receive them, but the lava’s were all at 3.8v upon arrival.

Great review. Like my science teacher said, "a lot of it is hype," but there is some truth to it as every manufacturers recipe is a little bit different. You pointed out something with a lot of truth to it, same manufacturer, just a different label. Thanks for the helpful advice and suggestions regarding how much you can push these batteries, without damaging them. Appreciated.

Thank you for sharing and your honest opinions about the 1s batteries. Great comparison between the lava and the tattu batteries. Thanks for the Amazon used PSA, yeah never get used batteries. Unless you know the previous owner. 4.5mins of flight time, awesome great flying and comparison Albert!!! Tattu for the win, cheaper for same, a win to me!!!!! 👍

Good to know the Tattu's are the same as the we bleed and tiny whoop batteries. Will probably pick up a pack of those soon

@@frankcastillo8869 did you storage charge them after each session? we have alot of people in our local group who are very happy with the tattus and they all storage charged them. while one newbie didnt know about storage charging and he had them puff up in 2 months too. mine still feel almost like new after 5 months

Thanks for the info. Good testing. Another negative thing about WeBleed and Nitro Nectar is that they are propriatory to US companies, making it EXTREMELY DIFFICULT and EXPENSIVE to get anywhere else, like Canada. Basically have to buy a drone in order to get them delivered because they won't sell otherwise and shipping requirements about the same as TNT. :)

Thanks for pointing out that these are basically the same batteries. I swear every time I try to grab some they're always sold out, glad to have more options available!

I have a number of Tattu and NBD folded cells and the voltage on all of them drop off a cliff at about 250mah, giving me about 5 seconds to land before they drop below a minimum safe voltage. 250mah seems to be the most reliable metric for how depleted the pack is, since voltage sags without warning. I still have some GNB27 250mah HappyModel batteries from my AE65 and DE65 v2 that still give reasonable flight time, and I find them to be significantly better batteries (lighter, longer flight times, more gradual/predictable voltage sag, better percentage mah discharge) than any of the folded cells I have used. Definitely keen to give the Lava batteries a go if they don't sag as badly at the end of the pack, particularly given they seem to be pretty competitively priced and can be purchased direct from BetaFPV from the world outside of the US.
