I made a custom build on this frame with HDZero and your settings made the difference in flight quality right away. Initially I had some "shudders" and hesitation and that all cleaned up with the PIDs and filters. It's great that you gave the contributors credit for those settings, but your video got me set up. thanks man!

Good review. I'm a new quad pilot myself and with the videos that are out there nowadays, we have a much greater chance of success when it comes to flashing BF, firmware, Blujay, etc. than we're given credit for sometimes. I've done all of that on my first quad (Bassline 2s) and it flies well, at least according to my inexperienced opinion. I don't have the feel for many of the tuning aspects that a more experienced pilot would have, but I'm learning. I have one of these quads coming to me as I type and I'm looking forward to ripping up my house and yard.

Sounds like you learned a lot in a short period of time. FPV is a fun hobby once you get past the learning curve. This quad is a little ripper. Cheers, SLOG

Good review man.. I have literally smashed my 65pro frame to pieces and it still flies perfect.. Tiny strips of fibreglass tape are great quick fix for a broken frame :) I use the Ayykay tune preset on Betaflight 4.3, and it flies amazing. Very high Yaw gains so washout almost never happens. I switched the camera for an Caddx Ant but when the battery voltage sagged the camera browned out. So my solution for indoor flying was to swap my standard light bulbs for 'Daylight bulbs' and the difference was unbelievable....
@slogfpv56792 жыл бұрын
Hi Pressure@FPV-MERCH, I will give the Ayykay tune preset a try, based off of your recommendation. When I looked at it prior to this video release, I was concerned it was a tune for racing only and not whoop freestyle. Also thanks for the lighting tips. Cheers, SLOG

I wonder if im doing something wrong.. my battery life just barely lasts over 2:30min and that isnt even me fully pushing the quad..
@slogfpv56792 жыл бұрын
Hi 5olace, you should be getting about 3:30 min of flight with mixed light acro and cruising. Things to look for if you have not already done so: - Make sure you don't have hair or lint under the props (just a little dog hair makes a big difference) - Try a fresh battery - check for bent props (replace if needed) - make sure the props are tight on the motor shaft - You may have a sticky or defective motor - iron filings/small screws/dirt in a motor as magnets pick up anything with iron as you know (has happened to me) - make sure you are charging to HV Hope this helps, SLOG

My bind button on the drone crapped out. Is there another way to bind to the LiteRadio ELRS? Maybe through Betaflight? I have both active on the dashboard but after saving they aren't bound. Thank you.
@slogfpv56792 жыл бұрын
Hi Tim, Here is the bind procedure that can be found on the ExpressLRS.org site (link below) www.expresslrs.org/2.0/hardware/spi-receivers/ Binding Procedure for SPI Receivers¶ Button Binding¶ Put the receiver into bind mode using any of these procedures: "Bind" button in the Betaflight Configurator, Receiver Page (if can't be found, update the Betaflight firmware). using the CLI, type in bind_rx and press enter once. press the bind button on the flight controller. using the CLI, type in set expresslrs_uid = 0, press enter once, then save and reboot One the SPI receiver is in Bind Mode (indicated by two immediate blinks followed by a short pause), execute the ExpressLRS lua script in your handset and press the Bind option. The RX and TX should be now bound (indicated by a SOLID LED on the Flight Controller). Please mind the order, RX first, TX second. SLOG

Hi! have same quad but cannot set up VTX through betaflight. it says "VTX is not configured or not supported" . any iddea how to fix this?
@slogfpv56792 жыл бұрын
@Vlad Saiko, without knowing what FW you have loaded, or what you have done in the Configurator, it is hard for me to know. You might want to load the latest hex file that is on the BetaFPV site. The link below takes you to BetaFPV and the latest released FW. The tune may even be better since this video was made. Also, you might want to go into the presets tab and save a backup for the settings you currently have incase you need them. Hi thanks for sharing this. I copied your CLI and noticed that on my meteor 65 pro the filter settings don’t match yours. They’re are set to 0 on both gyro and Dterm. I tried making it match yours but it won’t save. Keeps reverting back to 0 for both. Any ideas? I’m on Betaflight 10.8 and firmware is 4.3.0 BTFL
@slogfpv56792 жыл бұрын
@Gerson Flores, are you using the right target? It should be BETAFPVF4SX1280. When you do a "diff all" do the settings look correct? Also there are some filter settings that are profile specific and others that are not. If you go to 8:46 in my video I would make sure you are looking at profile 1 (profile 0 in the CLI diff). You may need to load the FW again I think it is up to RC6. SLOG

Hi, great video! I have a problem I hoped you can help me with. When I tried to increase my rates my meteor is flying away when i arm, the idle throttle is quite high. And I changed ONLY rates from the default. What's up with that?
@slogfpv56792 жыл бұрын
Hi Ivars, thanks for the feedback! My motor idle is set to 5.5%. If yours is higher than that, I would reduce it to 5.5%. Also, if you fly in Angle mode, I would calibrate the accelerometer. My was not calibrated at all when I received it. Lastly, I turn motor stop on because I fly indoors a lot and in angle mode. Way more pleasant to just drop the throttle and it lands without bouncing around. Obviously when you are in Acro mode, you want air mode on (props will spin when armed). You can see how I have my modes setup in the video. Hope this helps, SLOG
@fratersan07 Жыл бұрын
not necessarily the cause, but if you flash firmware and rebuild the configuration from scratch (just went through this) it is common for the custom defaults to put the gyro in the wrong orientation. that causes immediate fly away (flips over and tries to destroy itself). the betaflight quad preview graphics would identify this/rule this out

i fly 5" and 3" and want to take risks, i spend hours tuning and you can see and hear from my videos, they sound sweet, QUEASTION IS THIS WORTH BUYING FOR LIGHTISH WIND!
@slogfpv56792 жыл бұрын
Hi RC ADDICT, Whoops are really designed to be flown indoors when the weather is bad outside. If you are already flying 5 and 3 inch quads, you will be disappointed if your goal is freestyle. Whoops can be flown outside on calm days, but are just too light for any breeze. So to answer your question, I would say no. Maybe a toothpick style quad would be better as they are better and handling wind. SLOG
