I built mine upside down so the antenna sticks straight up behind the cam. 1km D250hz @ 1w. Ws v2 TX & ws GPS..... I'm tempted to port/wire the rx over to another uart and try to get i2c working on uart 3's pads. I've had luck before but this is my first 405... But the next will be a mamba 722-i2c w/1203 7000 and 2in AVAN tri-blades, 550-660 mh (inav ready/learning) The little vifly beeper fits perfect in the frt duct area, the destructions suck so i removed the driver ic and hot wired it. 4 screws and 2 connectors and my camera module swaps in minutes. Thanks for all the great videos and information........

Thanks for watching and your sharing! I would use WS too if I don't need 4k stablized footage. Fyi UART3 on the betafpv AIO is occupied by the built-in ELRS. Maybe the Pavo25 is a better candidate for your project?

Thanks for watching and your comment! I assume that you were referring to the RSSI and LQ readings. RSSI tell us the strength of the signal at a given time LQ indicates the Link Quality of the connection between the radio and the receiver. In general, LQ is more useful. 100 being the best while you don't want it to dip below 60. The arrow next to the voltage is the home arrow. It's only active when the goggles is connected to a compatible DJI drone e.g. Avata. Hope that answered your questions, welcome to the FPV world and happy flying!

I have the Tattu 3s 450mAh and 650mAh. I am happy with the 450mAh because it fits better below the frame and I can feel the difference in rools and loops.
@flyingpudding7 ай бұрын
Yeah, 3s 450 is in the ideal weight range for the Pavo20. I am quite surprise that it flies quite decent on heavier packs, the extra load seems to help wind penetration and add stability.
@Todd_G_FPV7 ай бұрын
I got the 650 because I wasn't sure but good to know I need the 450mah, wife will be happy lol I'm just glad to get another drone in the air! Took me a few hours getting it put together and set up how I wanted but it's going now! First mistake I made was not realizing the rc2 and v2 goggles don't work on vista units, then got a free taranis qx7 and I bought a elrs module but the remote was missing the chip and I had no idea what to put on the new one I had so I returned the elrs module and got a radiomaster pocket! Now I'm flying!

@@Todd_G_FPV congrats on the new quad in your fleet! FYI vista with the latest firmware does work with the RC2 controller. It still goes very far with the RC2 but there is no LQ to keep track of.
@Todd_G_FPV7 ай бұрын
@flyingpudding yes but then it removes the ability to use v2 goggles and I don't own the goggkes 2 or integra, also u can use the remote without a set of goggles too. That's ok tho I got a radiomaster pocket and it fits in my bag perfectly with my fpv combo and so does the small pavo20, got a few packs in today and that little guy rips! Once I get well used to manual/acro I will remove the prop guard so it's more stable but we are far from that lol

Looks like it's a good option to use DJI FPV controller instead. My video link usually drops way before control link.
@flyingpudding7 ай бұрын
I would recommend to use a separate radio link if possible. I also used the DJI RC2 controller before and it served me well. The catch is that the quad would failsafe at the same time when the video link is interrupted if the O3 sbus is used. With a separate rc link, you could raise the throttle when you lose the video, hoping to regain visual as the quad reaches a higher altitude.
@vadimus20077 ай бұрын
@@flyingpudding Yeah, I've watched a deep dive video explaining how it works. For now I set failsafe to angle with slight ascend so there is a chance for control to restore. Also, if at some point I decide to use that built-in ELRS I'll solder a proper antenna, either with connector or directly to the PCB.

Hi Great video. When you use the 2s battery, do you think it has the mobility of a Pavo Pico? Is it to use the 2s battery indoors and the 3s outdoors or do you not see the need for a slower battery to have better mobility indoors?
@flyingpudding8 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching! Pavo20 with the stock 8,500kv motors and bi-blade props on 2s hovers at 50ish% throttle - which is OK for indoor cinematic and not racing. On the other hand, the Pico is more agile with the same 2s lipo. As I mentioned in the video, the Pico is still king for indoor applications and the Pavo20 is better if you want to fly in both indoor and outdoor - just feed it with a good 450-500mah 3s pack.

Hi bro!! Which battery do you think is best? Tattu 550mAh 46g or some GNB 650mAh 49g? Taking into account that it is a decent weight and has a good duration of at least 5 minutes per battery?

Hi Mate, thank you for your really detailed and nice review. I have one question: It seems that alot of people have issues with the FOV of the O3 / the frame is visible witin the bottom corners. @flyingpudding5 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! Yes, range may be better with the stock O3 antenna. On the other hand, I was able to get over 1km with the dipoles (in a couple previous videos) which should be more than enough for micro quads. Weight saving and aerodynamic are more important 😉

So you were losing TX/remote signal and it was causing it to drop at distances? I'm new to this, but i got ELRS 1w boxer transmitter, is this similar to what you are usng? Will i have this issue at like 300m or whatever? .... because supposedly it can go up to 70km for long range airplanes !!(?)
@flyingpudding8 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching and your comment! The premature signal degration in the video was caused by incorrect rx antenna position on the quad, regardless of the tx or tx module. What's important is to pull the rx antenna AWAY from the AIO. It is best to have it stuck outside of the fuselage if possible. In addition, 70km can only be achieved with ideal weather condition, dedicated rx (not the built-in AIO), proper antenna position (completely outside of the air frame), low interference environment...etc. I am using a betafpv SuperG Nano Tx module with dual antenna fyi, and even my another single antenna Nano Tx module at 100mw could reach over 1km with the built-in ELRS rx in my another video, with the correct rx antenna position: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYe9gIB8Z8-shJIsi=ij8Mph0m7Wb6aUkx Hope the above helped, happy flying!

I bought one. It's a very nice FPV drone. But I burned 3 motors, not sure what I do wrong. Maybe because I arm the drone in horizon mode but drone not in horizont position? Motors start working very hard to get it leveled.
@flyingpudding9 ай бұрын
Omg i am sorry to hear. Are the motors burnt or the ESCs? I don't believe flying in stabilized mode would cause issue but not disarming or cutting throttle after a crash may fry either or both.
@batyrenko9 ай бұрын
@@flyingpudding ESC is working, fortunately. I started arming in Acro mode so it doesn't try to level the drone, motors are not running like crazy once I arm. I slowly increase the throttle then turn on horizon mode. I also put protection, to do not arm if angle is more than 30⁰.
