Enjoyed the Nostalgia trip with the Mini Talon Wayne....Yeah, that Vector FC, expensive and American...It was good though but I think the price killed it in the end...Looking forward to seeing the next episode...🤔😳😳😮😮😀😀🇬🇧

Prior to the likes of iNav, fixed wing AP's could be pretty pricy. I tried quite a lot of them. My friend gave me an old RVOSD I need to try out for fun! Have just replaced the VTX, so I just need to print out a front skid to replace the wheel and work on pushing the LQ to the flight controller and I can take it for another spin :)

@@CurryKitten Agreed, I can remember buying F4 flight controllers for like £16....Designed for quads but using them in fixed wings. I was horrified that the iNAV Devs had squandered not one but TWO outputs on motor controls alone...They had limited output pins for servos, like four max, two of which were for motors...Such stupidity back then, and now IMO on a simple twin motor plane....One output for both motors .!!!...😮🙄😀🇬🇧

I can move between digital and analog pretty easily personally. I'd love to go full digital, but I have a lot of models, and the cost would be way too high to bother

Great video! And the receiver seems to be very good, looking forward seeing it paired with a gemini TX :)) There is a way to display rssiDbm and LQ as rssi in crsf mode, and it works quite well, perhaps it would be similar.

You do get an RSSI value from CRSF as well, but it's pretty useless in comparison in looking at LQ and dBm rssi.. unless you mean something else? I think if I can at least get LQ that'll make me happy

That's what I want to try... I can't remember if I can override it's weird "I found RSSI" even when it's not there and then stuff LQ back through ch 8 or something

If you want to use CRSF, then you'd take the signal pins form channels 13/14 and GND/5V from one of those as well. Of course, if you simply wanted to just run CRSF, then you'd use a much smaller RX, this is only going to be useful if you want PWM
