How do you define a market in which you would use your selected strategy? Is it just Hcps or just non Hcps markets can be defined by price volume money being turned over so how do you specifically define a market?

i am wondering what was your first strategy when you first started ?

Is it better to try and cut losses by introducing a stop loss or moving your profit target further away from your entry, using automation. Do your automation strategies always enter at the same time before the start of a race?
@betangeltv3 жыл бұрын
Cutting losses too quickly will lower your strike rate and expectancy. So it's often not worth cutting a loss.

What is the difference between a strategy and a trading plan?
@betangeltv5 жыл бұрын
A strategy would be scalping, swing trading, lay the draw. A trading specifically tells you how to execute it and creates a positive feedback loop of improvement.

@@betangeltv the reason I asked as there is a common misconception between the two, also within the written description of a strategy there is or is there not specific entry rules or are these part of the trading plan?

When you say "Those particular markets" what do you mean? Do you mean a 7 runner maiden with less than £100k matched by 8 mins out and fav price is under 3.0???? If you have big losses in many different types of markets. How big of a sample size do you need to confirm which markets to eliminate for that particular strategy?
@betangeltv3 жыл бұрын
Just keep good records and it will quickly become apparent which markets you don't like and why. So, for example, madiens full of unraced horses will be completely different from a high quality competitive handicap.

Could you make a video about drawdowns? Question: based on your experience, assuming you have a lot of strategies with the same strike rate, is it true that that some of them could have less drawdowns than others? Or is it just random? Thanks

I'll make a note to cover it in a future video.

Hi Peter Can you advise what to watch or where to see if I want to create some automations for AUS races (I can't manually trade it because of time) Thank you 😊
@betangeltv5 жыл бұрын
It's not that different from the UK, so I would branch some automation from there.

Can you define what you mean when you say define your entry and exit points when you say you will get in here and get out around there it's not a very defined/exact conception.

When you are reading a market though points become more obvious. There is no one fits all approach.

@@betangeltv if I want to trade using automation, I'm not physically reading the market.

Typo, when you are reading a market though, points become more obvious.

You are, because you would start manualy trading, then you start automating the entry or exit and then you finally fully automate.
