You ladies are so insightful, if I could make a suggestion... I'd love to see more philosophical debate eps along with the book reviews. Really made me think on this one. Love the podcast, betches!

I’m with Erica on this, some opinions ARE more valuable than others. I think why some people get up in arms about this is they assume this translates to their self-worth which isn’t true. Someone who has no knowledge or experience in a given field could be welcome to share their opinion but ultimately, it’s going to lack real-life context. Also, opinion and advice aren’t mutually exclusive. Different experts, even doctors, could give different advice on the best way forward based on their professional opinions. How they weigh up evidence, the risk-benefit analysis, could be different. I also think this applies to more subjective fields like art and literature. Someone whose books withstood the test of time or have resonated with a diverse group of people likely has more insights to share than someone who has never written a book. Saying all opinions are equal is a hallmark of anti-intellectualism which, ironically, mainly disadvantages the working class.

My book opinion is that romance books can get away with worse writing much easier than other genres

I agree with Erica...at the end of the day, if someone has more experience, more knowledge or just something more, their oppinion matters more. It just has more weight to it! Yes, art is subjective. We all keep saying that but still if Da vinchi and I both have two different oppinions about one painting, his is way more important and valuable than mine. Can we both state our opinions? Sure. Does both of them matter? Yeah...do both of them have the same importance? Ofcourse not! I just don't get how stubborn Kristin is😂
