I actually thought Erin was dead and rotting away in her room until she was revealed to be alive. Because of the bad smell being mentioned. Don't forget that Josie kidnapped and killed Alix's husband Nathan. She's guilty of that no doubt. The curly-haired girl read and absorbed the novel the best, I think 😂👍🏿

Is it for enjoyment or for enrichment? If it's for enjoyment like reading "The Wheel Of Time series" ((the books are amazing, the Amazon series is blasphemy)) than it's fine to skip, but if it's for the purpose of enriching yourself like "The 48 Laws Of Power" or "How to Win Friends and Influence People" then skipping is only hurting yourself. Though ironically, i think it's fine for people to skip around, in those two particular self-help books.

Agreed with what the 3 said, but I don't like when arguments have the whole 'nothing matters anyways' added to them. I find that when its done it is often because the side does not have evidence or lacks argument which isnt the case here. That is not the case here of course since each brought up points about reading being entertainment, but if a different outside eye were to interact with this, it could be seen from a skewed angle.

I am with Erica on this one, I skim read all the time. I feel like recently authors have been adding in POVs that are just not needed to the main storyline/plot and/or over explaining things that don't need to be there. Also, I read for MY OWN enjoyment, so why does that bother reading snobs so much? I will never understand.

Never thought I would be commenting about this but here we go😂 In my country we changed pur clocks in the beginning of spring then changed them back at the beginning of autumn and EVERYBODY hated it so after years of some part of the coutry doing it and some parts not doing it and a lot of issues of people saying "old time", "new time" they changed the rules and we don't do ot anymore but our phones still automatically change and after 2 years of not changing...we have realised that the change actually was better and helped us function way better😂

Podcasts like this is hard to watch and listen to because 2/3 of you guys are hating the entire time of this book. I appreciate the opinion but at the same time, there has to be at least one thing you guys liked about the book that you could have mentioned because if you hated the thing you wouldn’t have finished the book and let alone read the 2nd one. Dark romance isn’t for the faint hearted and I get that but at the same time I promised myself I wasn’t going to read haunting Adeline but that was before I got into the dark romance genre of book and read 5 books right before haunting Adeline and I fell in love with the idea of haunting Adeline. Now I agree there was a lot of detailed information that wasn’t needed but this book series was actually really good.

I wouldn’t have picked this book up if it wasn’t for the podcast because it just isn’t for me. I really thought I made that clear but apparently I didn’t lol all of our episodes aren’t hating I swear, but yeah, we def all have different tastes on this podcast but we want to make sure we’re still trying to read it anyway 😅 But just like this book isn’t for everyone, I recognize this podcast isn’t for everyone either and that’s totally ok! I gave the third book 3 stars because I didn't like some details. BUT everything that was build since the first book comes together and a lot of things start to make sense! Maybe continue (Erica maybe you should skip it because this series doesn't match your taste😂❤)
