BETERBIEV vs BIVOL... CANCELLED!

Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed boxing fans, today I bring you the unfortunate news that weighs considerably heavy on my heart.
The highly anticipated undisputed clash between the two formidable champions, Dmitry Bivol and Artur Beterbiev will not be taking place on June 1st as scheduled previously.
So despite months of preparation, dedication, and anticipation from fans worldwide, fate has intervened in the form of an injury. Artur Beterbiev an extremely dominant force in the boxing world, has suffered a torn meniscus in his knee while training for the fight
Now guys This injury, while devastating, is a reminder of the physical toll that these athletes endure in pursuit of greatness. We obviously wish him a speedy recovery and a return to full health.
So guys to all of you who have eagerly awaited this clash, I share your disappointment. I understand the excitement and anticipation that comes with such a highly anticipated matchup.
While this is technically a cancellation of the Bivol Beterbiev meet but we hope for it to be rescheduled pending recovery from Beterbiev, we can still expect a fight to take place between Bivol and a replacement opponent that may be announced over the next few days.
As you heard Bivol's coach Kornilov; he'll review possible candidates.
Names such as Yarde and Smith come to mind because that would instantly lead us into a comparison to when they both fought Beterbiev, and this comparison would bring focus back to the Bivol Beterbiev clash... if of course Bivol wins in June.
However who would be willing to risk stepping in at this late stage to face the formidable Bivol, who already has a 2 month head start in training... and with only a month to prepare?

​​I hope Beterbiev can actually fully recover and doesn't rush the injury, which could make him not be 100%. As sad as i'm to see this fight postponed, i want both to be 100% and see the fight.

They are definitely looking for a replacement... so the fight has technically been cancelled. I believe a new contract will have to be drafted and also the fight will be pending the fact that Bivol emerges victorious with belt. Beterbiev will only want to fight the belt holder.

Beterbiev has been injury prone for years.. I don’t think it’s specifically an age related issue, disappointment for all the fans as well as Bivol

His trainers need to stop him at the gym. Jean Pacal trained with him and he said he is a machine in the gym.

If Bivol loses to the replacement (doubtful as I don't see anyone beating him except for Beterbiev) the chance of them fighting lowers significantly

Looks like Beterbiev is getting too old to train at the same intensity as he has done in the past. He may never reach the same level again and should consider retiring.
