Adding that romance to the story disappointed me, and establishing the third pairing made me drop the author at the end of this book. The story could have been much more interesting if it didn't try to stay bound to the genre of earlier books. Imagine if it focused on the trauma and the weird flashes of power instead, unpredictable but with the character trying to exploit them.

We are told healing takes time, day by day, though we are always given less time to truly heal within society that's always moving forward. We will heal. We just need proper support, if we can find it, whatever it may be.

@@lora7418 I unfortunately endured 8 years of it. Even though it's been over 10 years since, I still have troubles at times. I just found out I have Adhd. Sad, instead of helping, they used it against me. I have a alright support group. I'm just grateful the beautiful people who have helped and gave me time to heal. Might never be fully, though with each breath I will my hearts wishes out and sometimes the universe answers. It's recognizing those answers, whatever it might be, that is somewhat tricky still.

This is absolutely beautiful, The art and music are incredible, the lyrics are so *good* "I didn't ask for this" The whole thing captures Nesta perfectly I can imagine her singing this one night when she finally reached a snapping point She's a badass, but none of its easy for her. She's so strong and has managed to make it through so much but because she has to, and you can feel it in every lyric This really is her song It's like a threat and a cry for help all at once I am absolutely in love with every part of this

Oh my goodness, I hardly had to listen to it once before adding it to my playlist of my absolute favorite songs. The song was absolutely beautiful, so emotional and, well, real. It was an amazing portrayal of how people who have been through traumatic events can fall deeper and deeper into a hole that nobody else can see. And the animation - simply amazing! Beth and Erlance, you’re both incredible. My favorite line was “When part of me was ripped away, and replaced with something worthless.” I thought this was one of the really raw moments of the song, where we get a true glimpse behind a cold, mean exterior to an insecure girl who thinks that she is a monster. I’ve never read this series, but now, i really want to!
