Beth was on Star Search in 1993. Amazing even back then. But the severe BiPolar started when she was just a kid. She self-medicated and it started her on a downward spiral. Her drug addiction and instability caused her record label to fire her. She was committed for a while. Beth is now medically balanced and this is a second chapter for her. Undeniably the best female vocalist I have ever heard. She is the Queen of Soul. Now that she's back on board, she can finally claim her crown. All she's been through, it all comes through in her magnificent voice. True Soul. I respect and admire her as a person. And I love it when she opens her mouth on a stage or recording studio. God bless her.

she performed a few of her own songs on Star Search including "Am I The One" later to be arguably her best live performance live at the paradiso. Also love her songs with Joe Bonamassa "I'll Take Care Of You" and her cover of Etta James "I'd Rather Go Blind" live in Amsterdam and Joe guest starred on "well well" with her and her regular guitarist Jon Nichols (Seen Here in this video)in the song Jon and Joe have like a guitar dual.]:) ]:P

There's no reason to "air her dirty laundry" here... especially if she isn't the one doing it. She's not alone or unlike the majority of her music "peers" that's had demons of their own to cast out. But, I agree that looking at her now, she's come a long way. She's got some "color" back and looks very healthy in this video... and gorgeous as well. She's doing well, and probably trying to "deep six" her troubled past (I can relate...but some will never let it be buried). I hope that you don't feel like I'm insulting or chastising you in any way. That's not my intention. She should be given the chance to start anew and not have that type of negativity constantly following her around.

Long live the reigning Queen Of The Blues. I’ve had the privilege of seeing her perform this song live, and she certainly doesn’t disappoint. Her stage presence and her willingness and ability to connect with her audience on such a personal level is so enthralling. She draws you in with her passion and emotion, and keeps you hanging on every word. Nearly three hours of everything from what you just heard to a couple of Zeppelin covers, and I still wanted more. She’s the most captivating performer I’ve ever seen. ♥️✌🏼😎

This song hits me personally. I bought the Bang Bang Boom Boom album when it came out and I had heard it and thought, wow, what a strong and powerful song, but let it pass as just a great song. But it wasn't until a few years later when my now ex wife cheated on me, it suddenly became real and I UNDERSTOOD for the actual first time, the place where this song came from. From darkness, the pshychi, the sould, the hurt, the pain. And she has a way to really take those feels and present them to you in a very realistic picture because she has been there, we all have been there at some point or another, so we can relate. She is a great visual storyteller for sure too and you see and listen to what she wants you to see and listen to and that is what really makes her so unique to me. And forget the imagery on her live performances, she can also do that through a record and that is even more spectacular. Sadly, you can tell she lived in that darkness for quite some time and knows all about it and I can also see she is doing much better now and that is fantastic, but again, she can tell you the story. That was my "little" thought about her in general and this song specifically.

She's for real! How many of you know she got started on a talent show called " STAR SEARCH" in the early 80's hosted by Ed McMahon from the tonight show w/ johnny carson. She sang "CRY" by Janice Joplin. Rita Moreno, L. A. Reed were 2 of the 3 judges. All you young folks need to go back to the 40's and work your way to the present. Her voice is like Tracy Chapman

Like her partner on many occasions, Joe Bonamassa, Beth eats, sleeps and breathes the blues. You can find a few of their songs here on KZbin. They are great together, and, as you would expect, also great on their own. If the blues weren't such a niche genre, both Joe and Beth would be more famous than they currently are.
