Her songs are so passionate because she is performing her life in front of you. All her problems and issues come through her music. I think thats why they are so powerful. Take care of yourself Beth. We all need to hear your music genius.

How does an artist turn pain into incredible beauty? Very few people can do it, but Beth knows how. Her soul cries out! This isn't just a song; it's a spiritual experience. My tears flow as I feel her pain and its expressive beauty. This is pure genius!

@@lillybloom1590 Thank you, lilly, you are so kind. I'd recommend thanking Beth, because her art in this song moved me to write those words. I'm glad that you enjoyed my comments. Take care and be safe, sister! 👍💖🎸😎

@@audiophileman7047 Hey, Audio! Not many musical geniuses come along in a lifetime. There were some beautiful voices before and after Janis-but she was the only female musical genius until Alanis, Beth, and Tori came along. And we’re blessed to have them. Yet, because of her vast talent span, I would have to put Beth at the top of those three, mainly because Tori kind of faded at the end. Alanis probably has the prettiest voice of the three. But Beth simply gets stronger and better and more wide-ranging the longer she’s around-and her passion, like Janis’, never slackens. However, they’re all three something else to listen to. Be well! Glad you recognize and enjoy great music. Who else you have on your list?
@audiophileman70474 жыл бұрын
@@lillybloom1590 Hi lilly, it sounds like you're a woman of the '90's with Alanis and Tori, but I wouldn't put you in a box or limit you. If you love Janis, one of my absolute faves, then you understand what makes truly great music. Beth's magic has so much to do with her beautiful mind. It's not a brain like ours. She has a kind of sensibility, experience, and awareness that we don't quite know, but her ability to express emotion and suffering is so good that you just can't help stopping and listening. She sings to you like you're a friend or a family member. I don't know of anyone quite like her. She's simply an outstanding artist. I saw her live once, and it was an unforgettable experience. I would love to see her again. There were some other notable female singers in the past. I think of the many jazz, blues, soul, and R&B singers. There were rock singers like Grace Slick (Jefferson Airplane), Sandy Denny (Fairport Convention), Deborah Harry (Blondie), Pat Benatar, and the wonderful Ann Wilson of Heart. I like music from classical to metal with few exceptions. I get just as much of a charge listening to Mozart as I do Black Sabbath. I'm a particular fan of the blues and blues based rock. Beth is a blues sister. I am a particular fan of Pink Floyd and The Doors, but there are so many bands and musical styles that move me. There's a whole new generation of American Roots music, blues, and blues rock artists coming up. Here are some that I'm following right now: Larkin Poe, The Tedeschi Trucks Band, Danielle Nicole, Christone Kingfish Ingram, Carolyn Wonderland, Rival Sons, Sue Foley, Joe Bonamassa, Mandolin Orange, and Beth Hart. I am particularly enamored with Larkin Poe right now. They are a sister duo out of Nashville with solid blues and blues rock songs with the lap steel guitar as a major part of their sound. I love their music!

"Our pain becomes our passion," someone told me that once. I never really understood it until later in life. This is one of the most raw, vulnerable, honest, open and beautiful songs I have ever heard, I thought in one of the other videos that this was written before Sharon transitioned to her new life, free of pain. I just wondered if she heard it here. I know she hears it now. So very beautiful 💕

Yes, indeed, there's a little bit of JJ in BH, and that is a great compliment in itself. But she is unique. She does everything: She plays well, sings well, and can do a lot of things with her voice and in numerous genres. She is no doubt the best all-around singer/songwriter/entertainer I've ever seen. She doesn't sing polytonals as JJ did, and she doesn't have her passion. She doesn't try to have nor does she need a pure voice as Karen Carpenter had, but she is a package that neither of those angels could complete. Karen sang low soprano at all times in all songs, due to her brother's wise advice that, "The money is in the basement of each level." Beth sings all over the place, and does it very well at each level. For the few of you who have never heard the purring beauty of KC's majestical voice: “Close to You,” Karen Carpenter, 1970 kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZKyqqKMiJJ8d6s JJ's passion overrode anything else she did, and she had the ability to innovate words and phrases on stage. A genius at what she did, and she left a legacy that has lasted. Ck JJ out here. A hundred people have done this song, and no one comes close: "Summertime," by Janis Joplin live, 1969 (4:40) kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJ-YhYGnn9p7n7c BH is an all-around genius, as no one else has ever been. Tori Amos came close at first, but faltered in her later works, because of bad producers. Like Elvis, BH doesn't need a producer. She can do everything as well as it can be done and needs no editing, as it were. What a blessing to hear here play and sing!! Thank you, Beth!!
