1. The subject of death 死亡这个课题
a. Hard to teach 很难去教导

2. The death of the Lord Jesus Christ 主耶稣基督的死
a. The Lord Jesus taught about His death (Matthew 16:21 - 23)

THE DEATH OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST 主耶稣基督的死
22 Now while they were staying in Galilee, Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men, 23 and they will kill Him, and the third day He will be raised up.” And they were exceedingly sorrowful.

1. The death of the Lord Jesus was not in the distant future
主耶稣的死 不是在遥远的未来
a. The Son of Man is ABOUT to be betrayed into the hands of men
人子将要被交在人手里
b. They will kill Him
他们要杀害他
c. And the third day He will be raised up
第三日他要复活
2. The response of the disciples as recorded by Matthew
马太福音里记载了门徒的反应
a. Matthew was there!

b. Matthew recalled how they all felt back then!

c. They were exceedingly sorrowful!

3. The disciples struggled with this word

a. The Lord Jesus was at the prime of His ministry!

b. He just cast out a powerful demon

c. How is it that their beloved Master will die at the hands of mere mortals!

d. This was hard for the disciples to understand and accept

But while everyone marveled at all the things which Jesus did, He said to His disciples, 44 “Let these words sink down into your ears, for the Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men.” 45 But they did not understand this saying, and it was hidden from them so that they did not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask Him about this saying.
Luke 9:43 - 44

1. A hard topic but it had to be taught! 一个困难但必须被教导的课题！
a. The Lord Jesus was not afraid to face suffering and death
主耶稣不怕面对苦难与死亡
b. The disciples must grow a stronger faith for themselves!
门徒必须为自己增长一个更坚强的信心！
c. They must one day face death courageously for their faith too!
他们有一天也必须为了他们自己的信心而勇敢面对死亡！
2. Let these words sink down into your ears
你们要把这些话存在耳中
a. This was part of the problem
这就是问题的一部分
b. They did not want to hear “such words” from the Lord
他们不要从主那里听到 “这样的话语”
c. They would rather not think about His death!
他们宁愿不要去思考到关于死亡！
d. This is NOT the way to go about it!

3. Other problems 其他的问题
a. They did not understand
他们不明白
b. Nor have they sought wisdom to perceive what the Lord is teaching on this matter!
他们也没有去寻求智慧来了解主在这件事上所要教他们的！
c. They were too afraid to ask the Lord Jesus about it!
他们太过于害怕去问主耶稣关于这事！
VITAL LESSONS FOR US TO LEARN 让我们学习的重要教训
1. We must not be afraid of hard topics like death
我们不能够去害怕困难的课题 比如 死亡
2. We must grow a much stronger and mature faith in the Lord Jesus Christ
我们应当在主耶稣基督里增长一个更加坚强和成熟的信心
3. We must look beyond death
我们要看超过于死亡
“The third day He will be raised up”
“过三天他要复活”
a. The resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ
主耶稣基督的复活
b. The hope of our resurrection is based upon this glorious truth!
我们复活的盼望就是基于这个充满荣耀的真理！
