Fun to watch. Thanks for making this reaction :-). Fun fact. Actually this is a mix of old and new Delain members. The drummer was already in Delain from the beginning right up to their The Human Contradiction album. And this guitarplayer (Ronald) was already in Delain at the right past April Rain. So its kind of 2 new member, 3 old members. Fortunately the music writing team is still for a huge part the same, and I can hear that in the sound. Can you also make a reaction on the new Nightwish songs?

Delain is not new, the only member that changed is the vocalist, Diana is very good too, now she can shine, i love Charlotte but Diana has a powerful voice!

You're absolutely wrong that this is a completely new band. The current line up includes original returning guitarist Ronald Landa (was in the band in 2006-2009) and drummer Sander Zoer (2006-2014). Also, the main creative core of Delain has always been and remains keyboardist Martijn Westerholt and studio guitarist Guus Eikens, who has never toured with the band but has always been the main co-writer for Delain. For example, when you listen to their much-praised album "We Are the Others" (2012), you should know that all the rhythm guitar parts there were recorded by Guus and only solos were from then-new guitarist Timo Somers, who left with Charlotte in 2021. Timo only participated in the creation of a couple of songs on "Moonbathers" (2016) and "Apocalypse & Chill" (2020) albums. So if you feel that their music has changed over the years, it's mostly because of the natural creative evolution of the same two people, not because of the line-up changes. So the only new members of the band are singer Diana Leah and bassist Ludovico Cioffi. Moreover, on their latest album so far, "Dark Waters" (2023), the bass parts were recorded by Epica bassist Rob van der Loo, who was also a member of Delain in 2006-2010 - that is, Diana was the only really new member on that album. It was basically "April Rain" album line-up + Diana. :)
