What a great use of scraps And old towels. Anyone would love receiving these as a gift.

Old towel! Genius! I mark my old towels and toss in the rag bucket. My husband uses them and washes them, and dang it those towels (with a big black x drawn on them in permanent marker!) show up in the towel cabinet. Using these for pot holders or even insulated carriers for baking dishes will solve that problem. Thank you!

Your voice is easily understood over the computer, your directions are shown as well as spoken - and easy to follow - and I have been binding quilts for many years, but have never mastered the "official way to put the ends together. And then in one easy video, poof!! There you have it. Thank you so much. And this video examples one of the great uses for the internet. Blessings on you. *new subscriber*

You are a gem, Beth. I learn so much from you, and I try to practice the “Beth Method” of sewing. That being, letting go of the fear that all seams and such have to be perfect. Everything you make is lovely! Thank you❣️
@itsmelaura15332 жыл бұрын
I love that terminology! From now on I am thinking of "Beth Method" while sewing! Thank you!
@Dkaye12 жыл бұрын
@@itsmelaura1533 I agree, L. Melvin, Beth gets so much done while I fret over the slightest things. I am not saying I am a person who wants everything I do to be perfect, heavens forbid, but in all the tutorials I watch, they all stress about pressing so carefully and sewing that darn 1/4” seam perfectly, while Beth is the most calm and she does things the way I think our ancestors did. I let fear get in my way. Happy sewing to you✂️

Beautiful fabric strip set for the potholders! Great idea for use of old towels for the inside. There was someone asking the other day on a Facebook sewing page about ways to use old towels, but I don't recall anyone mentioning pot holders. I have some old towels and 1 1/2" fabric strips that I'd like to use up in my scrap bin. Just might have to make some pot holders! Thanks for the idea, Beth! 🥰

I just whipped up three of these, quick and easy. What a great way to use up scraps. I have a collection of strip scraps that I used. I also used up some batting scraps from the longarm. I’m going to try making placemats with a center just like the potholders and some vertical strips along the sides. I also love you single layer binding, it worked out great. I added a pocket to the back of my potholders to slip your hand in. Thanks for the inspiration.
