I'm not a BCU alum, but as alum of a fellow MEAC school, folks can say what they want about BCU, but THERE IS A REASON that BCU has been to EVERY HONDA - something NO OTHER BAND PROGRAM can say including my school. They are the most consistent band in the HBCU world and they know how to put on a show. Apparently they have a formula that has work for them all of these years and Wells sticks to it. Like that old saying goes "If it's not broke, don't fix it."

First Honda visit ever. Nothing like hearing, and seeing it live. Me, my sister, and her son. Long story short, her son was bored, but when the Wildcats came out, his response was, why is that band BIGGER than the other bands? Why are they louder than the other bands? Why are they more together, (Clearer) than the other bands are? They must have a good teacher? He's only 10 years old. I couldn't say anything, just laughter.

Sharon Johnson I don't think anyone is hating on Cookman. They are far and above one of the top programs and most consistent band. The problem lies in that there is not a wow factor anymore. People can pretty much predict their show. I've had former members tell me they wish they would mix it up more. Another thing is that they've been to Honda since it's been in existence so people have gotten too used to them.

VERY SOLID SHOW! The only thing I didn’t like was the 14k selection. I think the reason why a lot of people (including myself) get bored with them is because the shock value is gone. We know you sound great, we know it’s gonna be CLEAN! But because we’ve seen it before we’ve become spoiled wanting more from them when it’s almost impossible.

The Acoustic in this new stadium is horrible, too much open space, most bands were very loud but you could barely hear them unless you were seating directly in front.

I've been to every single hbotb in atlanta except one and I must say that BCU had looked and sounded much better. They are pretty good but I can't say that they leave me wanting more, while in the past, they used to make me feel that way. By the way, the sound in the new stadium is atrocious! Someone should lose their job over that ish! Because of that and the ridiculous price increase, my family and I are seriously considering sitting next year out. Pretty sad.

But they always have extras who are not on the field during their performance. I thought they were somewhat smaller when I saw them at the 2017 QC BOTB. I saw a clip of them at NCAT the past season and they looked smaller in the stands there as well. I remember a few years back they had 8 lines when they entered the field to begin their show and still had extras who stayed in the stands. For the past couple years, there has only been 7 lines with a few extras who stayed in the stands. None the less, they were still the largest band there and still put on a good show.
