Beautiful, thank you for this. Beto definitely started a movement. He inspired a lot of people to vote, who had given up. More down ballot Dems got elected because of the energy and donations that Beto's campaign generated. Beto has taken on the corrupt Repub politicians and loosened their grip on Texas. Both of Beto's campaigns have left a hugh impact. Candidates like Beto do not come around very often. I hope his supporters realize that and let him know that they want him to try again. After all the votes are counted maybe the Texas Dem Party can go around the state holding forums that present an analysis on the Election Day results. Where were the gains and the problems? How can they keep the momentum going until the next election? Is anyone collecting data from this election that shows how much voter suppression there was and how it works. How many people's voter registrations or ballots were rejected, how many people showed up to vote and their names were missing, even though they had voted there before, how many precincts ran out of paper ballots, how many machines broke down during the day and how many voters had to wait more than 2 hrs to vote? Which precincts reported more problems like this and were they Repub or Dem districts? Trying to give people a wider view of what happened on election day, helps to know what you are up against.
