We played this at the most recent BoardGameGeek convention. I was expecting to be disappointed, because ambiguous rules, or edge cases that aren't handled, really bother me. But we like the Baldur's Gate universe, so we gave it a shot. And we had a very good time. In our particular haunt the rules didn't cause any issues, though there was a sense that it was unbalanced. Though upon further discussion, it appeared that maybe it wasn't unbalanced, but that the "heroes" maybe should have approached the situation differently. All of us were happily surprised by how easy it was to learn, how much fun it was to simply run around and play in, and the overall enjoyment of having the haunt. The heroes made secret plans for a few minutes and then we played it all out to conclusion. I'm very tempted to buy this one despite my misgivings about the messes that the rules create. I think they did a great job with it. I only wish they had an additional 50 scenarios that were co-op only (our group prefers co-op). Thanks for your comments on it Marco.

Great review. I would love to know how this game compares to Betrayal at house on the hill, Cthulhu may die, Mansions of Madness and Eldrich Horror.

I'm going to get this for my uncle for Christmas. He plays board games ofcourse, but also gave me my first computer game which was baldurs gate! So hopefully he'll like it, I know he likes the arkham horror and other coop games.

Sound like they didn't sort the rules out like in the original game, which saddens me because I love the hot mess that is the first one.
