I liked Mknk when she was Rushia, whoever was her manger did one hell of a good job as there were never as many incidents and issues with her back then as there are now. A big issue is that she never took time for herself to get better and get the help she needed, when you consider the context of what was going on in the background - she lost her job, she lost her house, she had just gone through a messy divorce with both sides accusing each other of cheating. Her mental state would have been rock bottom, and you don't recover from that kind of thing easily, yet she came back almost instantly. I do have sympathy for her, but she is her own worst enemy, and as you said, she clearly misses her time in Hololive, I mean, why wouldn't she, she had everything back then, she was practically on top of the world and had all she wanted, and now she's lost almost all of it I would say more, I certainly could write an essay about mknk, but I will leave it at that

She lost her job cuz of her attempting to fix it and breaking NDA. Her fanbase did NOT turn on her until she was outed for being abusive. In fact, the whole reason she broke NDA was cuz she was abusive and told her SO to message her constantly. Her spiral is not just cuz she was fired.

She infamously got upset at Aqua over nothing and went on a rant over a perceived slight She was told that Green was an unlucky colour, which is why she wanted her new outfit to have pink hair, but she was told she couldn't because the green was part of her character identity (Irys has talked before about limitations with new outfits) but she ignored her managers and went direct to the artist to get them to do the change. And lets not forget how she got fired in the first place, if she took advice and stayed silent the whole thing would have blown over, but she wanted to address the matter and went to Korekore, and it was that action, and the leaking of NDA info and DMs that led to her getting fired. So yeah, she was always menhara and she's always had issues, but it wasn't like she was involved in drama every day, but now it is almost every week that there is some kind of drama, she just can't seem to help herself. She lost a lot of fans, but the ones that remain act like she can do nothing wrong (unless she dares interact with a male) which isn't healthy as it only enables this erratic behaviour. If you want what is best for your Oshi and want them to succeed, sometimes you have to recognise the failings and call them out so they can be fixed. And don't forget that Nazuna was a second chance for her, but she squandered it, it would have been the perfect chance to have two separate personas, it's probably why she's now joined Wactor, so she can have that separate persona that allows her to do what she wants

Mikeneko is an interesting case study, and also a frightening microcosm of a widely unrecognized modern issue. We live in an era of atomized individuals who are allowed (encouraged, even) to endlessly self-immolate because "that's just like...their choice man". I cannot comment on the state of her family, but any close relatives who truly love her, if they saw what a terminally online life was doing to one of their own, would forcibly drag her off to an isolated country village somewhere so she could detox and hopefully have the veil of insanity lifted from her eyes. I posted the following on another video where Mikeneko was being called a lolcow. I wanted to repost here since this is essentially the same kind of video. It’s honestly sad seeing her fall so far. And so fast. Mikeneko definitely had a menhera personality bts but to this level was insane. But yeah she fell into the lolcow classic of reacting to everything. Any sort of criticism she felt a need to defend herself. And those reactions were overreactions. As Rushia all she had to say was they weren’t dating and were just friends. Even if it wasn’t true it’s a simple and easy response for damage control. Going on a Japanese drama channel was the overreaction. Even if she didn’t break her NDA in the process it was silly. Lolcows fascinate me, so I’ve watched a ton of videos about them and got a handle on their “anatomy” of sorts. I’m not a psychologist or anything but I like to think my armchair psychology is fairly good. The thing they all share is reacting and overreacting. And hiring 8 lawyers over mild comments (not even criticisms imo). And overreacting in paranoia is an even worse trait of a lolcow. There are different things that make up different lolcows. One is an inability to move on. In her case it’s moving on from Rushia. In someone like Chris Chan (the ultimate lolcow, basically the standard) it’s an inability to grow up and be an adult. Later we learned Mikeneko has the other lolcow trait of general toxicity but at exaggerated levels. Like a DSP or Boogie where they behave in ways that drag themselves and others down. But it’s not their fault it’s everyone else’s. She cheated because she was *worried* Mafumafu was cheating. Which is also why she was always keeping tabs on where he was. She couldn’t just trust her bf/husband she had to give into the paranoia and overreact. She “had no choice” but to be extremely toxic because her paranoia was “real.” Everything she did and will do is justified in her eyes. Back to Chris Chan, another lolcow staple is being sad. I mean there’s no lolcow sadder than good old CWC, and his sadness manifested into madness. As Mikeneko’s actions are brought to light, the more she sees her life in jeopardy. Not her career but her literal life (at least it seems that way from my armchair perspective is). Her prior sadness, her menhera-ness, was mild but grew over time. Now with a “life threatening” situation her sadness would reach new heights. Instead of working on her mental health, her previous actions (that “weren’t her fault”) need to be validated as understandable. So she goes back overreacting and now she’s spiraling in the way she sees her life is. Becoming more irrational, more unhinged, and tripling down on her bad behavior and decisions. So is she a lolcow? Yeah… technically, but not yet to an irreversible level like CWC, DSP, Daniel Larson or Boogie. There is time for her to turn her life around. It’s sad seeing a god fall from Olympus. I was never a Rushia fan, I liked the funny animations and thought she was a titan of the industry, but that was the extent of it. But I know what it’s like to see someone you admired or idolized fall. For me, the latest was Will Smith. He was on the downslope for the longest time because of that woman he married being the most toxic and disgusting person in all of Hollywood (I’d argue worse than old Harvey but in a different way). But I didn’t realize how bad it had become until he slapped Chris Rock for a very mild joke. A joke HE laughed at. But I’m sure she shot him a look and he did what she wanted. And she gave the most vile smirk when it happened too. That’s the moment one of my heroes died. It hurts to see that happen so I’m empathetic to all the Rushia fans who are feeling that way. Unlike Will tho, I think there is still hope for Mikeneko. It’s not too late to get help and turn her life around. Maybe dropping this lawsuit with Mafumafu is a good sign she’s doing just that. Maybe she got help or realizes she needs to change. It’s a good sign that she hasn’t fallen completely. Edit: With new info in this video I’ll make a couple corrections. She didn’t hire 8 lawyers. And the lawsuit with Mafumafu isn’t dropped they’re just settling out of court. Which still may be a good sign.

Her whole deal definitely got into lolcow territory in the sense that obsessed internet-dweller care way too much about bringing the downfall of someone who frankly should just sink back into obscurity and be forgotten. Don't get me wrong, it's not a jab against you since it's important to document all of this for Vtubers History archiving due to Rushia's huge impact in the industry, but at this point she's clearly fighting to get back any attention she possibly can and people are offering it to her on a silver plater thinking they're "trolling" her.
