Even a thousand years from now, no one will ever fill Bette’s shoes! The best that ever lived!

Bette Davis in her emmy winning role. when she says" How dare come back and make me care !"
@davedvlaries77649 жыл бұрын
Davis _never_ lost the goods. This proved it. In that last decade there were plenty of Carson appearances, interviews and feting and awards, but what the woman lived for was _work_. And when she lucked into a part written this well, cast with a co-star of equal discipline and gift, we were the lucky ones.

My mother loved Bette Davis. She made me love her since I was a little kid. My mothers name was Lucy like the character. She told me about Strangers when it first aired. Describing that great scene when Gena tells Bette the truth. She loved it. Mom also took me to see Gena in Woman Under The Influence as a kid. I'Il never forget it. I love Bette. I loved Gena. Mom passed away in 2013. But when I see Bette - especially in this movie - it's like being with her.

This is just wonderful - Bette Davis sets the bar so high, it takes a Gena Rowlands to keep up!

This is so heart breaking but that's live. All of us know a story like ,maybe not exactly, but quite similar.

I recall watching this on TV back in '79... I loved it Never forgot it. Caught parts of it in a rerun here and there but never saw the whole thing in its entirety until now. It's even better than I recalled.. God Bless Bette Davis!

Davis never, ever shied away from a role most women in her generation would run from-from Of Human Bondage 1934 to this Emmy winning performance 45 years later

What an amazing film.

Wow -I believe this is one of her best/top performances than even some of her movies.She is able to display true conflicting human emotions.Many people on tv made for movies can not display such heart/felt emotions. What I mean to say you can tell of some of these people today that act on tv is trying hard to look real ....
