Loved that Bette re-did this song. She did such a great job!

He was a famous trumpet man from out Chicago way He had a boogie style that no one else could play He was the top man at his craft But then his number came up and he was gone with the draft He's in the army now, a-blowin' reveille He's the boogie woogie bugle boy of Company B They made him blow a bugle for his Uncle Sam It really brought him down because he couldn't jam The captain seemed to understand Because the next day the cap' went out and drafted a band

Previously, Bathhouse Betty performed at NYC Continental Baths, a gay bathhouse. Rolling Stone magazine did a good article and had a drawing of the Divine M on the cover.

Just now finding out Bette Midler had 2 sisters that look just like her. Am I dreaming or something?

Very good split screening - but you can see the line very clearly on the right side and near the end, the "Bette" in yellow extends her right hand beyond the boundary and it gets cut off. Still, very impressive for 1973.

Shame. Even if there where mistakes in the performance live, even if the laugh track wasn’t there... they did their best to entertain.
