Love Bette. No diva she. Down to earth and such good manners. Never forget her and Ruby in Harvey Nicks. Ruby, her usual outrageous self and Bette almost shy, and charming to a lady who recognised her. A class act👍

100 years ago. Ever been to Bradford luv..Used to be farm country. Now you`ll never see a farmer. PS the Antisemite marches will put you off your tea and cakes. When I first started coming over here in the Sixties it was G-d`s Country. I got my residency in the Eighties and back then you`d take a weekend break somewhere in the country and book into an inn. They were still heating the rooms with log fires. Loos were still very basic. But you left your shoes outside the door and in the morning they`d be shined up. You got tea in bed before coming down for a delicious English breakfast. I began writing about `country life` in the Sixties for the English Tourism Office monthly magazine `Tourism in Action` I profiled the old animal markets which make the market towns tick. Director Ken Russell said that `country life` was England`s crowning glory because it was the one thing which could not be replicated elsewhere. Now it`s all big hotels, fast food, multicultural...and...antisemitism. Glad I saw this country at its best!

Bullshit, my grandparents are jewish and have been accepted everywhere! Antisemitism is construed by people like the Tories and fuel the fire and cause hatred of the less well off! Paul Ogrady would have politely told you to fuck off if you were anti anything
