Ollie Tuck entered the building industry as a labourer when he was 17 years old, where he discovered his love for the work and soon progressed into an apprentice. After completing his apprenticeship, Ollie moved to London on an O.E and continued working in the industry, moving into project management running high-end renovations. Once he returned to New Zealand, Ollie began work for the same company he had completed his apprenticeship with, this time as a project manager working on projects in Auckland and Northland. In 2017, Ollie and his wife took a leap of faith and started Oliver Tuck Construction, which quickly became a well-known and respected company due to their honesty, creativity, and dedication to quality.
In this episode, we sat down with Ollie and chatted about what got him into the building, what makes a great building business, and some misconceptions about the industry.
