Better Bus/Tram Stops - Transport Fever 2

In this video we improve some of our lines that are losing money. We also test out some new bus and tram stations in one of our cities.
I am using a few mods and assets so my playthrough may differ if you are playing with no mods.
The mods I use are:
More Industry Levels
Natural Town Growth
Fantasia Map Generator
Build with Collision
Better Roads
There are a couple other workshop items I use but they are mainly cosmetic/assets and do not affect gameplay too much.

Not sure if you address it later, but not enough planks isn't the problem because your production is higher than your shipment, so the factory is overproducing already. The problem would be lack of demand or too much train capacity. For the logs, you can look at the rate value of the line which updates to a new estimate immediately after upgrading/modifying vehicles, so you can see if the new rate is near 800.

I’m planning on increasing demand from that industry soon but I figured before I get to that I can try to even out the amount of steel/planks going to the factory. So then when I increase demand for machines I don’t have to go back through the whole chain to keep up

Yeah it's usually good to max out production regardless of demand/shipment, but I mean if you look at the rate stat of the line it will tell you whether you need to add or remove capacity from the line. And that the machines line is suffering due to lack of demand which translates to machine factory shipment but you said it was due to lack of plank supply which translates to the machine factory production.
