We are going to drop two episodes of BCS from here on out. We just posted S3 E4 and 5 of our Patreon. We are ahead by a couple months there if anyone is interested in having early access! We also double drop there as well

Three breaking bad references: 1. KEN WINS. As you guessed, his car gets burned down by Walt. 2. The expensive tequila (Zafiro Añejo) is the same type Gus gives to Don Eladio. 3. One of the cop who checks the 'idiot's' house is the same one who answers Skylar's call when Walt barges in and refuses to leave the house.

I love how this episode really characterizes Jimmy's inability to follow the rules. He sees something that clearly states what to do, and he just has this deeply-ingrained impulse to always do the opposite. That's the significance of the switch.
@oldcat74 жыл бұрын
Yes. The intro also shows how different he became after Breaking Bad. He used to be a rebel and live by his own rules (flipping the switch) and now he won't even open an emergency exit. Love how they wrote that.
@rustincohle21354 жыл бұрын
@@oldcat7 Yea, but the emergency exit wasn't really about rule breaking. It's about not blowing his cover.

NGL, i loved season one, but was the moment that made me fall in love with the show 16:30. Such a nice touch! Saul is rule a breaker. Its how hes wired! Even something as simple as "Don't flip the switch.", makes his body ich.
@JackMValentine4 жыл бұрын
I mention this only because Imon mentions, but I think there is a misconception about this episode. Jimmy didn't really want something like Davis & Main. Jimmy wanted to work with his brother and his brother's law firm. Now knowing Jimmy if this was that he honestly wanted to make his brother proud or if thought it would be easier to get by if he was part of a law firm with his name in it, could be both. But once the idea that his brother never really believed in him came to light. he begins a downward spiral, as seen in this episode. Basically if he didn't have what he wanted he was going to do what he was good at. Which is not following the rules.

In Santa Fe all the buildings have a style like that. Kinda Pueblo style, lots of stone. They have strict building codes so even the big chain stores match the style.
@brxan30964 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure whether you guys caught all the Breaking Bad easter eggs in this episode but the tequila Jimmy & Kim drank(Zafiro Anejo) was the same one Gus bought for Don Eladio in season 4 of Breaking Bad when he took out the cartel. Also, the white cop who was called to the house of the guy who got ripped off by Nacho was one of the two cops who went to Walt's house when Skylar tried to kick him out in season 2 I think.

A bartender can get 18 shots out of a standard 750ml bottle of tequila. The three of them finished an entire bottle with each shot costing $50. When you add in New Mexico's sales tax and alcohol tax, Ken's bill came to $957.03...and that's if you don't include a tip! Adjusted for inflation, that's $1391.80 today.
@rustincohle21354 жыл бұрын
No, not quite. I did the math on this years ago and made a meme about it: imgur.com/gallery/xbm6xUb 750ml is 25.9 ounces. Shot glasses are either 1oz or 1.5oz. The shot glasses the bartender served them were 1.5oz-- which would equal 17 shots, not 18. So, $50 per shot is $850 plus Albuquerque sales tax at the time (7.5%) totals $913.75 plus they had appetizers. I doubt Ken left a tip after getting shafted like that.
@oggyreidmore4 жыл бұрын
@@rustincohle2135 The difference between a full shot and a shot missing 1/17th of a shot is a few drops. A skilled bartender will be able to stretch an additional shot out of the bottle, so 18 shots. Especially at $50 a shot, because that's potentially another $10 in tips - maybe more if you got a high roller trying to impress someone. A good bartender can read their customers like that. On top of that, it's three people ordering shots and it divides into 18 more evenly. That's a nice meme and all, but there's a difference between googled numbers and the lived experience.

@Brenno_8604 жыл бұрын
Wait, Walt wasn't a big bad criminal when he met Saul. He an Jesse were just two goofballs and Saul had to introduce them to the criminal world. Saul is the farthest away from being an inocent person that one can be, I even think the had it too easy on Breaking Bad.

Why do people come on BCS videos and tell reactors how "slow" it is and to "stick with it"? I see this all the time and there's not a single reactor of this show on youtube (that I have seen) who has ever complained that it is slow or shown disinterest. Everyone reacting to it loves it. And yet, like clockwork, these comments always pop up. It's odd because it's so disconnected from the reality.
