This is brilliant. This was like a reminder that even when Lalo is being all charming, flashing his smiles and telling his jokes, the evil part of him is always present. He hides it well, but you can get glimpses of it if you look closely. A terrifying being with no remorse at all. But that's exactly why we love him. There's no excuses for his actions. There's no tragic past or self conflict. He's just simply evil.

@Ishak Arbia Tbh, I think Lalo was born a psychopath and Hector only made his psychopathy worse by introducing him into the game. Even after the people he "cared" about died, he is still flashing his jokes, smiles and laughs like before. When other members of the Salamancas died or was threatened characters like Marco, Leonel and Tuco showed genuine concern and sadness. Psychopaths are unable to feel genuine sadness. Psychopaths are only able to show anger, sadistic joy and disgust. Those three are the only emotions shown by Lalo.

I'm convinced that Walt wouldn't have stood a chance against Lalo, he was so smart and totally amoral. If Gus hadn't beaten him, with a bit of luck, Walt would have been finished by Lalo with ease

Idk, its certainly possible. But although Lalo has intellect with scheming and cartel businesses. Walter is able to make homemade bombs, and its unlikely Lalo will expect someone so weak seeming like Walter to pull a fast one on him. Everyone underestimated Walter until essentially the last half of season 4 and 5. Walter I'm sure could probably outsmart Lalo

It depends heavily on the circumstances. Walter's victory against Gus and Gus's against Lalo were both based on things like Gus needing Walt to cook and Lalo needing proof for the cartel. I think Lalo would probably see Walt's meth as an opportunity, though - imagine if they teamed up.

@@thefatepatriot684 Lalo's fate in BCS was already sealed when they made him a Salamanca because of Gus' line to Hector in BB season 4 "Now the Salamanca name dies with you." Walt had immense plot armor throughout Breaking Bad, even in situations where he should've died or get caught in real-life and Gus had plot armor in BCS because he appears in BB. Things would've went way differently if BCS was made before BB.

Great edit! I really love the quote you included at the end about how little he sleeps and how he spends that time plotting instead. Honestly, I didn't look to deeply into those lines the first time I saw that scene but hearing them back now, its such a small detail of Lalo's charcter that hints at him being more calculating beneath his charming facade

This is plot armor yes, but Lalo's biggest mistake, as it turned out, was how he never told Hector the details about his suspicions on Gus' superlab. Someone should've known in case he'd die. Then, even if Lalo died, Hector could've dictated the text to the twins with a request to have the laundry checked and Lalo's disappearance investigated properly.
