@@H.K.5 If u met them both in universe I'd agree, but as a viewer Lalo is so much more intimidating to me. Like, yeah Tuco is very explosive, but he wears his emotions on his sleeve and already gives off the crazy vibe. Lalo will charm you, smile at you and then shot you in the head when you turn away. He does not care about any consequences, he barely sleeps, he almost doesn't feel human. Oh yeah also he is scarily perceptive and smart.

You can say that Saul was able to talk down Tuco but that was Tuco before prison or the events of Breaking Bad. Neither Saul or those skateboarding twins would’ve gotten out of that situation alive if they crossed Tuco at his craziest.

It wasn't luck, Gus had to admit to himself that Lalo had the potential to get the best of him, to have him alone at gunpoint in his lab. Only by admitting this to himself could he plan for such a thing. He put the gun down there, planned disconnecting the lights, for exactly that situation. The only luck was him getting hit in his bullet proof vest not his head.

It would be luck if he put a gun down there for an entirely different reason one day, and remembered it was there when Lalo brought him down there. But he put the gun there because he thought there was a chance Lalo would bring him down there.

A prequel on the Salamanca family would have been so dope. I feel like Lalo's character gave much more mystery and lore to the Salamancas which increased the fans' interest for them. Very similar to character Anton Chirgugh. Master of interrogation, once his mind is made up, very difficult to talk out of his final decision. Lalo is more charismatic with a shade of being affable to confuse opponents, or pleasing to gain an advantage. Only Gus and to a lesser degree Mike could read Lalo's motives ahead of time.
