Chuck was just lying to himself there out of pride. Which was the straw that broke the camels back and caused him to lose it finally. Chuck did love and care for Jimmy it's just pride is his character flaw.

I'd been watching this show on Netflix so it was three years before they just put season 5 up. Felt I'd forgotten most of the show, so just watched all the 1-4 recaps. Really concise and hits all the major plot points enough so they came back into recollection. I have a feeling I'll be back to this channel for other shows. Cheers and thanks.
