Great video and tip! The secondary tip I got from this video was when you un-knit your first example and put the stitches back in their proper orientation. Great camera work also with the super close up shooting and easy to see colors. Thank you so much.

This is the first time I am doing this stitch on a vest. My question is what is the purpose slipping the yarn as if to knit? Does slipping as if to knit twist the yarn so it doesn’t lean to one side or the other? Btw, I’m in the process of reading your latest book, Tricks and Tips. Wonderful but some techniques in knittting are a bit confusing.

Review chapter 5 and understand WHY we slip a stitch as if to knit vs as it to purl. We need to reverse the stitch mount so when you work it the stitch is not twisted. Don't memorize but see. The way to do that is TRY it. :)
