Were you guys able to learn more about what the ventrac might need in years to come?

Love the video. It would be nice if you could include prices when you feature attachments. You don’t need to give exact quotes, just an idea of what the ballpark is.
@basvandijk37775 жыл бұрын
Rich Picone they dont do that because it scares of most customers

We tend not to do that because as our videos age, prices are subject to change and we don't want the information to be outdated. But if you check out our website you can find current MSRP listed there. Thanks for the suggestion.

Currently looking for a ventrac to maintain a grass airstrip here in Canada south of Montreal. However for a small private organization like us a ventrac is just too damn expensive. Withall the attachments we need the machine is pushing 45k Canadian....that's medium Kubota money brand new with cash to spare. I love the concept and yes theyre leading in the attachment selection however I'm not inspector gadget and don't need 30 different attachments, I only need to mow grass and blow snow and so far a Kubota F2690 does all that for less than half the price of a ventrac. 32000 for a used demo tractor and then almost another 20000 for 3 attachments is flat out theft, Kubota sells their attachments for half the price of ventrac.....just because ventrac sells mostly to cities where tax payers foot the bill doesn't mean the price has to be inflated so much. This essentially makes these machines unattainable for small organizations and home owners. It's a shame....the 4500 is unfortunately 10000 dollars overpriced.

Sorry for your situation, Sam. Compared to the Kubota F series or Deere Terrain Cut, you're getting a much more capable tractor with the Ventrac. Even with the most expensive 4wd models of those machines, they're no match for the Ventrac on hillsides or in wet conditions. If all you have to mow are flat areas with no challenging terrain or difficult grass conditions however, one of the Kubota or Deere machines may be a better alternative for you. With the Ventrac, you're paying for all the capability rolled in - at the end of the day, it's a performance machine. Thanks for your interest.

It’s a tool with a specific purpose in mind. I wish my chainsaw was a better sledgehammer, but it’s not. I’m not a Ventrac fanboy like some of what you see on KZbin. Not including the Ventrac, we have 3 other tractors, two track loaders, and a dozen attachments ranging from road graders to bush hogs to forestry mulcher. Part of the Ventrac niche is grass/landscape you want to leave looking like a team of Boy Scouts or ninjas has worked on...that’s why golf courses, landscapers, and municipalities like the system, but it’s definitely not for the average ehWhen I work on tough timber land and I actually know what’s in they way, I go for a track loader or a forestry tractor and wear it out. If I am working around our house, I use the Ventrac....currently moving 40 yards of sand around 3 acres of grass to smooth out the yard. However, in rough prairie where you don’t know what’s out there...it’s one the best tools I’ve found to bushhog when you don’t know what’s in the way...have discovered 2 abandoned bulldozers and one ancient tractor on 200 acres of prairie we’re trying to reclaim. You’ll kill yourself charging ahead with a forestry tractor into an overgrown field where you don’t know what’s in the way, and even with a front mounted bush hog on a track loader, you still need to replace your fillings when you hit an unknown object in front of you. With a Ventrac, the tough cut is in front of you, and if you hit something, the belt slips...that’s WAY cheaper in the long run. I think they could use some product development on the power bucket...I wanted to use it to move timber around and the Ventrac can sneak into smaller spaces than a skid steer, but the solid walls of the power bucket means you have to cut logs down to less than 48”, which is a pain if you’re in the woods. Wish they made a skeletonized power bucket to grasp wider loads. But, as you see from this video, they don’t lie to you...they say one of the power bucket videos essentially to think of it as a really fast wheelbarrow, which is a very accurate description of what it is. That’s one of the things I appreciate...Ventrac is pretty thoughtful about not trying to sell you on what it can’t do.

Sam, although there are tractors that are more powerful in terms of lifting more, pulling more or cutting more and can do those specific things for less money, the Ventrac offers a versatility of attachments that I use for my home and business without the need to buy additional standalone equipment. On top of that, I can take the Ventrac with those attachments into places that others simply can't go and can do it with minimal impact on the turf. That's worth it to me and so many customers who are thrilled that I can do the job so well with relatively little effort and in less time without the need for an entire crew. I have used different tractors but the Ventrac allows our small family business to do things that other larger contractors simply can't. My first is a 2005 4200VXD and loved it so much that I ordered a 4500Z a couple years back. In short, Ventrac is worth it to me for what we gain in capability and productivity. No wonder they find in back breaking with the wrong equipment, using garden strimmers instead of commercial brushcutters, great kit tho, do you do the side arm with a flail head

Check out our website for current MSRP on exact models that you're looking at, but if you include a 4500 tractor and the mower is a finish deck, you're looking at somewhere between $26k-$29k retail USD.

Would have been better if you could show the boom mower reaching down into the gully, if it could, and tackling the parts of the job we saw the line trimmer guys doing. ATM its a bit of 'we tried, but then gave up'.
@ventrac5 жыл бұрын
The boom mower was able to reach about halfway down the hill. For everything beyond that, we had to put the tough cut on and drive the machine in.

Got to hit that hill sideways. The ventrac will eat all that.
