7:15. I think some captains go for a port dock because it’s easier to back the trailer into the ramp.

I'm glad to see you know what a hip-toe is ! BTW, If somebody on the boat uses a boathook, it usually means they have no faith in the Captain. Captain Keith. Keep up the good work kid

I've got a 30' Express Cruiser that I trailer. Trying to dock these giant sails can be a nightmare in high winds. I ALWAYS go to whichever side has the wind blowing me towards the dock. I'm often by myself so I have to leave the helm. If the wind is blowing me away, by the time I get to the swim platform, it's already too far away. Even if I catch it, trying to pull a 10,000 pound giant sail is not my idea of a good time after spending 10-12 days on the boat. Finally, it's a lot easier to get it on the trailer because the dock limits how far the wind can push bits off the trailer. In this instance, I have no clue what that woman was doing, Captain wasn't any better. Why she didn't go to the swim platform and get onto the dock, I haven't a clue. I'm sure that boat would have a mid-cleat, that's always the main handling line. Jump off, get that set, then run and tie the transom, Uncle Bob is on the boat!

I know once I get my power boat, I'll definitely be able to afford a slip at a marina. Not trying to haul a 52' boat back and forth.

Ok you asked. Get the bow tied up, control the stern with power, done. Some of these people should not be leaving the couch. Stay home.
