This is the 1998 opening titles to the Seven Network lifestyle show Better Homes & Gardens.
Better Homes & Gardens started out as a lifestyle magazine before being turned into the longest running and one of the most popular lifestyle programs today. The show started in 1996 and is still running today, winning 6 Logie Awards (the Australian equivalent of an Emmy Award) for Most Popular Lifestyle Program.

I can't remember the name John Jarratt but I remember seeing him so much on old Better Homes and Gardens... what happened to him? Never see him on television anymore

He's doing wonderful and is a wonderful man. Every year supanova convention at Adelaide he is there and almost all adeladians know him and talk to him every year like a mate they havent seen for a while. Incredibly polite and is willing to share a laugh he even taught some people in 2022 that we have 2 options in life think negative or positive. Unfortunately a media storm surrounded john in his personal life a few years ago that was highly negative but he has written his own book about it 'assault by media' i just finished reading it and it is a spectacular read. Last year i met him, we had photos, john looked great and then there was me 😂 he took me gently by the hands and after sharing a few laughs together we danced infront of the camera. John is a brilliant dancer and then there was me with two left feet. But two left and two right made a pair. One of the best moments of my life. On october 18 2023. I saw paul mccartney in adelaide and he performed this theme song all i thought of was better homes and gardens and definately felt the nostalgia of being a kid again, friday night or Thursday night? i think it was. waiting for this show to end as a kid i hated it it was really for adults and then start watching a really good film afterwards. Going back to the days when channels only 2,7,9, and 10 were only available. Mum would prepare a bowl of snacks and we'd have them on the couch next to us. Wouldnt mind reliving the nostalgia but dont wanna go back to school 😂 i was just telling my dad about better homes and gardens and sent him this video he remembers and it has just bought us closer.
