Being a full-time caregiver who is also disabled, I can relate to what Professor Primus talked about when she observed the police officer incident. I have had to advocate for my mother's healthcare on several occasions because of severe conflicts with doctors. One of the Admission Essay Questions (Essay 2) asks to discuss a challenge, setback, etc. I take care of my mother, who has a fractured spine, end-stage kidney failure, diabetes, and heart failure. She is a bright and vibrant woman who bakes and cooks for the church and is a secretary for our local Lions Club. I'm also permanently disabled, having had three blood clots and heart failure. I'm semi-bound to a powered wheelchair because of my right leg. Each day is a challenge, but I still find the time to study the LSAT and listen to everything Michigan because this law school and its video content are inspirational and educational. Professor Primus's words inspire me to push harder towards obtaining that Juris Doctor and becoming an advocate for the elderly and limited and hopefully write a book on how to be an effective advocate. Thank you again for this video!
