Best thing to do for China is to internally keep a close watch on Rubio... but publicly downplay him and not make him sound like he is important.

I won't worry too much about Rubio. Trump put him in there to give him a chance and to placate the far-right. I bet he will be replaced after a short trial.

Beijing looks after its people and wellness. Slowly develop and educate its people. Reach out to the world for co-operation of things. China has lifted over 800 million people out of poverty since 1978. In contrast USA's homelessness went up 18% in 2024. Roughly 700,000 people has no shelter to call home and that number is conservative. American does not co-operate but they dictate to countries what they should and shouldn't do. With 800+ military bases around the world that string of pearl is costly and unsustainable. All that money could have been spend on US citizens in area such as healthcare, fixing the bridge, etc.

I started living in China during the winter months in 2009. They were just getting going on their infrastructure upgrades (roads, airports, high speed rail). I rented lower range apartments and lived with the working classes. Today they have 2,800 pairs of bullet trains running daily to 550 cities in 33 of 34 provinces. They have only one military base outside of China. Back home here we have the same old amtrak running on tracks it does not own and is always very very late! My luggage has an 80% chance of getting lost on the airlines too. My government has 750 military bases in over 80 foreign countries! We spent over 800 billion to Chinas 300 billion on military spending. I would conclude personally by agreeing that China takes care of its own people as a first priority. Here in the US we get media hype (hot air) and inflation. Our politicians sold our manufacturing base to China in the 90's enriching themselves and now want to capitalize by flipping the script and making China the bad guy.

It's not even debatable, Chinese relationships are mutually beneficial and the Chinese peoples lives are drastically improving.

Biggest difference between US and China’s goals are that, the aim of China’s leaders is to improve the living standards of its people, while in the US, it’s leaders goals are for the US to be #1, even at the cost of citizens living standards !!!!

1947 the former Colon-nised territory of the British-Raj got independence. 1949 the PRC was established. Until 1970-ties, 3rd-brotha was slightly richer then the PRC. It had the infra-structures and bussiness of the British-Raj. Now compare the 2 countries. China's trade-surplus is $1 trillion and making $ 1 billion everyday. Anything to do with me? Of course lah, i buy Chinese stocks on the HK SAR stock-market.

Of course... China's goal is to raise GDP and consequently the standard of living for all its citizens and even the rest of the world etc that kind of thing. That's what they have been doing since forever. While US is justified in being afraid that if it grows too powerful, it may threaten the prevailing world order, it should know how to strike a balance

This weak China economy, no government officials are taking responsibilities and just simply blaming it to the geopolitic tensions. People lose confident to spend is mainly due to the problematic policies and implementations.
